2021 Playoffs thread

Lot of good matchups.

https://www.nba.com/playoffs/2021

First round though are rarely competitive, especially the top 3 seeds in each conference.

The 4-5 matchups are usually good. Dallas-LAC rematch from the bubble and Knicks vs. Hawks should be good.

Lakers will go real big, while Warriors have been playing a lot of small ball.

Draymond has had some success defending AD in their careers but last year in the Bubble, players were not allowed to breathe on AD, who went to the line a lot.

PJ Tucker had some stretches of success by getting physical with AD but like I said, he was protected and put on the line a lot.

The thing that's tough is besides AD and Lebron, they will either have Gasol, who's good trapping Curry on the perimeter, or Drummond, who's a threat to get 20 rebounds a game.

Also how physical will KCP or Caruso get away with on Curry?

Even in the one game the Warriors beat the Lakers, they built up a huge lead and the Warriors kind of stole the game. Curry has averaged only 23 points in the 3 games.

LeBron twisted his ankle last night, he's not at 100% firm. We can make it.

Agreed. Suns but not by much. Jordan Clarkson gives Jazz a boost

Also, Conley came back last night and I would bet Mitchell will be ready by the time the 1st round actually kicks off which won't be for another week or so.

I've called Phoenix fool's gold all year and I'm standing by that assessment.

The Knicks 4 seed in the East would be good enough to have them in the play-in in the west. I thought the East was coming back but they have fallen way off this year.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Wizards advance but Beal is hobbled.

I guess the better the Wizards do, the less likely he's available.

Very competitive Heat-Bucks game 1. Winner may survive a long series only to face probably the Nets.

Mavs and Clippers tough too. Clippers elected to play the Mavs by tanking..

I hate the Clippers offense. Pass, pass, pass around the perimeter, chuck, chuck, chuck.

My biggest hope is they get knocked out first round and Kawhi decides to skip town...and..umm...come here :)

Their offense is horrible....And it's weird how it's been that case the last two years and they don't change anything. I guess when your team is built on two ISO guys....then that's what you get.

Dallas is up 5 game one with a minute to go.

Go Dallas!!!

Sweet...Clips are going to lose! And predictably both Kawhi and PG have a bad 3 point shooting day ;)

Wow they gave Morris a $16 million a year contract and he lays a big egg.

Kawhi rumored to be going to Miami.

Warriors have no cap space for him.

I don't see how the Nets can stop Giannis. I think the Bucks will win in the second round convincingly if they eliminate Miami.

So the Suns win game 1, though they were getting some flop offensive foul calls and soft shooting attempt calls in the second half when they were trying to close the game from about 10 points down.

AD was pretty poor.

About time for the NBA to put him on the line at least a dozen times a game like in the Bubble, when he got a lot of FT attempts to get him going when defenders tried to body him up when he tried to post.

AD just seems off this season. I dunno why.

Always count on him to get some nagging injury and miss at least 15% of the season. Career worst RPG also.

AD shot way over his career shooting percentages in the Bubble from 3 and from like the elbow and the 15 foot wing jumper.

He's a good shooter for his size but he's not elite shooters.

Not to say he couldn't be a very good shooter from distance but he isn't yet.

He shot over 38% in the Bubble playoffs. He's a career 31.2% shooter from 3.

Going into the Bubble playoffs, there were questions about the Lakers' outside shooting. They didn't look good going in. But then players like KCP and AD shot really well. I think LBJ also shot over his career average from 3 to.
