Absolutely love Masai's passion though. You know he has a grand vision...I still remember 2019 he was getting Obama involved more, heck even Oprah started riding the wave...if he leaves I would be furious with management because it sounded like his only reasons for leaving are the ones they can control but he wants to see happen...

I dont think any discussions have happened, I do believe that.

I think theres going to be a long process to this to get him re-signed and hes going to put everything on the table for them shortly.

Hate to say it but the grange report a year ago or so where he said masai wants to make sure bells new ceo is on board is looking pretty legitimate. George cope was a basketball guy and the new ceo is apparently a hockey guy. Apparently cope and tannenbaum made sure masai got everything he wanted (and it seems true because in open gym episodes you would always see cope and tannenbaum in the tunnels). If both rogers and bell seem iffy it might not be good for us

But in reality even George Cope wasn't resulting in TSN promoting the Raptors to the extent of other products. It's a legitimate concern and Masai also took at dig at the NBA for not promoting the Raptors like the American teams. He wants to be Man U, and the NBA and his own bosses are routinely undermining those efforts.

Well, blaming management for lack of promotion seems like misdirection. Maybe its to explain poor TV ratings as a result of bad record / tanking? No actual Toronto home games certainly is a unique situation. Would like to hear actual details of why he thinks promotion is weak for a sub .400 team. The current status on TSN/SN various shows is weak. You need personalities to sell a product. Lot of them have been there for 20 yrs. The younger people on the periphery lack real talent. I'd rather watch paint dry.
