Enjoyed:
Good games all.
Lakers loss of course.
Knicks loss.
Disappointment of Spike Lee & nauseating Knick fans.
Hoping for anyone but Fakers out of the West - like Suns & Jazz.
Hoping for Bucks out of the East.

Reggie Miller, asking a coach if they are taking too many threes. What am I watching?

Wow Jordan Clarkson SUCKS. Has a man open in transition and just chooses to get stuffed going 1v3. This is like Magic/Raptors a couple years ago. Utah can't buy a bucket and Memphis just hitting everything.

Basketball maven Dillion brooks looking like his usual efficient scoring self. Joking but he’s actually decent with a very punchable face.
Utah getting low key bitched are they possibly in trouble?

Royce O'Neal is my fav role player in the league but my god what a layup brick.
That flop by Gobert was legendary, surprised the refs didn't call something on it. He should be on the bench and also Anderson shouldn't have pushed him.

Danilo got the last laugh (but not really).
He looks like De Niro in Taxi Driver a bit out there...
Good assessment:

So the "worst player in the NBA" just beat the top team and sent GS home before that. Gotta love message boards.

Cowherd basically said Shaq would be obsolete in today's game, do y'all agree? I'm not into making threads, but I really want to know the reasoning behind that take, a lil more in-depth explanation than him not being able to shoot 3s. Him being lazy would be more of a problem than 3s IMO, but I don't buy that Shaq and his team wouldn't dominate today. He pretty much said Shaq would be Zion (I know people say baby or little shaq), he'll score but even Zion can't get his team to the playoffs. I don't have any quotes but that's the gist of what he said.

Going against these soft defenses and less physical big man of today Shaquille O'Neal probably would have been even better on the offensive end especially when he has four teammates to spread about with. Defensively on the other hand it would have been much much tougher as teams with a pick and rolled him to.death. Still MVP level in my opinion

I thought about defense too and teams don't even defend these days. He wouldn't be good but I just don't seeing it being as much of an issue as people think it would be. Especially considering what he'd bring offensively for himself and teammates. Imagine Shaq on just the Cs (health not considered), if we thought Theis cleared space for Tatum, lol Shaq could stand there and make space for Tat, he wouldn't get called for illegal screens because he's taking space just by standing there and his gravity as a scorer they'd be watching and doubling him. The jays would be so wide open they'd probably shoot 45% from 3. Forget the Cs, imagine Shaq in place of one of the Nets 3. Not a broken down obese Shaq LBJ got, but prime Shaq with LBJ. Haha unfair scenarios. In this teaming up league, please, people would hate Shaq and the people he'd team up with!

Shaq would still be good enough on offense to be worth designing a "drop" defense around. But I think other great post players (Wilt, Kareem, McHale, Hakeem) would translate much better defensively to this era than Shaq would.

I agree.
In general I can't see the league becoming what it is if guys like Shaq still played. Teams wouldn't employ so many finesse bigs. Who is gonna defend Shaq, Bam? Embiid? Embiid would be so exhausted he would have nothing on offense.
Sorry I keep editing but I don't want to keep making different posts.
How well is Embiid going to be shooting threes or even moving after Shaq bruises him up down low everytime down? One elbow by Shaq and Embiid will want to quit. I'm hot saying Embiid is soft but he's different than what they'll need to defend Shaq. I'm not talking vs the 38yo Shaq with a foot out of the league either.

I disagree. Early years shaq was in great shape and could really move. Shaq also is an underrated passer. If you put shaq down on the block he’d be deadly just like he was then and he could still find cutters/ shooters. Etc.
Sure, he’d have to adjust his game some but Zion bullies teams in the paint and is unstoppable. So is giannis. Shaq is even more of an immovable force.
