The biggest improvement from last year to this year is closing games. The Mavs couldn’t close out last year, but now they can.

Terrance Mann played well I thought. I'd be looking to get him involved. Rondo has done a much better job on Luka than Pat Bev has. I think Rondo has contributed more on the offensive end too.

It's a shame for the Clippers they have to bench Zubac, because the Mavs have no answer for him down low. If the Clips ran a lot of PnRs for Zubac, he would easily go for 20 on us.

KP played good today. 20 points, 3 steals, and two block. Only 4 rebounds but there wasn’t many rebounds to get when one team is shooting 58.5% and the other 53.6%.

You should watch some Euroleague basketball and you will understand. Every game matters there. It's frustrating to watch RS in Nba sometimes. Playoffs are another story, that's how basketball should look.

KP continues to get in spots where he's 6-8 feet from the basket with the other team's PG on him, and he's taking horrible shots. In 2 full seasons now with the Mavs, he hasn't improved on that at all.

He definitely played better tonight, and he did a lot of good things. He also missed some easy opportunities that could have hurt us. Plus that one 3 was a gift from the heavens, hit the heel of the rim, bounced 8 feet in the air and fell back through the net 8-)

Trust me I tell people all year regular Season is glorified pickup league and is why I don't try to overreact.

I wish it was more important but it's just not

Wait until everyone sees the Dallas crowd. They will have over 15,000+ screaming crazy Mavs fans that have been kicked in for the last year+. I would not be surprised if the Mavs blowout the Clippers in game 3.

Yeah I 1000% agree.

I do think we got a big break in game 1 when they called the charge on PG when I thought THJ just as easily could have been called for a block. Didn't think THJ had his feet set.

Officials been making some strange calls so far in this series.

That was a ridicoulous reversal. Beverley couldnt have gotten to the ball if he didnt hit THJ with his body. That was very weird. That said, it worked out better for the Mavs. THJ would probably miss both FTs. By reversing the call the Mavs won the jump ball and took some time off the clock.

Thank god for Richardson. Luka as good as he is needs to start hitting FTs. He could have had 50 tonight.

There is something about the Clippers being second fiddle in LA. If the Mavs can finish LA off, does Leonard vault in the off-season? I know he loves LA, but I am sure he still wants to play for rings.

I could care less, unless that means Kawhi goes to Miami & that means they don't match offers for Duncan Robinson. I'm kinda liking this 50% from 3 thing the Mavs have going on right now, and Duncan Robinson could certainly keep that going for us.

If Kawhi stays with the Clippers, that's just fine by me. Luka owns the Clippers.

You can thank the Spurs for that. They started the resting players during the regular season concept. It doesn’t help that over half the league makes the playoffs.

I don't want to be negative in night like that, KP looked solid in O, but we cannot ignore when Mavs D has started playing better. When KP has got 4th personal.

The Mavs really have been very good this year at closing games out.

If you're the Clippers how do you psyche yourself up for game 3? Everything is on the line for them.

Kawhi played next to perfectly. PG played great. They combined for 69 points on a ridiculous 26 for 43 from the floor. Damn near perfect from the line. PG has 12 boards. They only combined for 4 TOs. I mean there's not much to look at quibble over. And the Mavs would of been up by 20 late in the 4th if they just made a few free throws.

I don't see how Ty Lue realistically goes in there and tries to sell the narrative that everything is okay. This is still a series. The whole We Can Do This! mantra. How do the Clips actually believe that?

Nobody really played poorly for them other than maybe Marcus Morris, until he two timely late 3s for LAC. Bottom line is they have no answer for Luka. They tried more Kawhi tonight. Luka had 39 on 16 of 29 from the floor. They have no answer for Luka. They're really overhyped as a defensive team.

Whatever the Clips do, it has to be 180 degrees different than the first 2 games for them to have a chance. Mavs might sweep them. I also think the Mavs are the mentally tougher team here.

They can’t play Zubac because whatever he gives you on the offensive side of the ball he’s going to give it right back defensively. Switching defenders onto Luka is beyond stupid. Thank Lue for that idiocy. Honestly, George and Leonard need to be guarding Luka. Having Zubac and Beverly switching off onto him is a disaster. Where is the leadership on the Clippers? Two of the supposedly best defensive back court players in the NBA and Zubac is guarding him? Are they protecting their brand or something? Jordan and Pippen would laugh at that cowardice.

Just think. THJ’s contract was a penalty for us to get KP. Now, it feels right the opposite.
