I can see this. Our FO tends to just try to save money unless they can go big on a sure fire championship team (so one or multiple super stars). Or unless they are locked into salaries from those attempts.

I don’t know about blow up but they’re going to have do some retooling. Need to part ways with Iggy, Ariza, and UD. I also dont think they can justify a major $ commitment to Nunn when he cant stay in the lineup in the playoffs. The supporting pieces of this team should look very different next year, and a few other guys are going to be on the block if they cant get their **** together. There isnt a single player on this team I wouldnt listen to offers for at this point.

No lol, if Duncan gets something near 20 mil id let him walk, we still have Herro. Now if we sign Lowry to a 50/2 year then I can see us making an effort to keep Duncan and trying to trade Herro for some size

Right. No idea why ppl recognize how unappealing our roster is, but think Kawhi would want to come. I'll say it again:

Jimmy has more of a chance to ask to be traded to the Clippers than Kawhi coming here from the Clippers.

Maybe we can S&T to get Lowry, Siakam and try to pair them with Jimmy & Bam. Which is probably not enough to go up against a healthy Nets team, but its something. IF we're going to keep Jimmy we have to give him SOMETHING to work with. And I simply don't think we have a shot at either Beal or Kawhi.

Seems like the Heat thing to do will be to acquire Lowry.

That's just going off of conventional wisdom but they could very well entertain other options like Dinwiddie and Ball; perhaps even Brogdon and Russell if they become available.
