On one hand, I want the Mavs to sweep and shake loose some stars (Bob Myers should really send Luka a fruit basket or something) On the other hand, it would be fun for Clippers to win this game and inject some drama back in the series

I'm good with as much Jazz/Grizzlies drama as we can get thanks. 8-)

I mean I do love this series and was rooting for a rematch so I understand wanting more games. But obviously with a strong rooting interest I want to advance even more.

Very important point. I think people forget too much these are sentient human beings who have different motivations than we want to assign them. Jerami Grant took the same money from Detroit as Denver offered to return and people were like what? Then he came out and said he wanted a chance to grow his game and wanted to play for a black-led team.

I'm not a KD fan, but I've never had a problem with him exercising his rights as a free agent to pick his own path. Just as Lebron joined bad teams the last 2 times he moved in free agency and was confident in his ability to make that work. He wanted to win for Cleveland and he wanted the opportunities of LA. Cool.

I missed the comments from Grant on playing for a black led team. Did he mean play for a black coach you mean? If anything the owner of the Pistons is white and has lots of shady businesses.

I'm working tonight so I've been resigned to listening to the Hawks radio broadcast. Their announcers are going crazy about how the refs are giving the Knicks every free throw and call in an attempt to keep them in the game. How true is this?

Randle is in the process of undoing a lot of the good he did this season. Not only is he playing awful, he looks even worse than those numbers if that's possible. Just zero confidence at all and giving his team no chance at all. Got to be one of the stories of the playoffs so far.

If he was even below average instead of alltime horrible Knicks would be up 2-0 with a shot at taking 3-0 but prolly not getting it.

Hes lucky the bench exploded in game 2.

Meh some bad calls especially during the 2nd quarter but overall fine officiating.

Also, Chris Paul is a crybaby for whining about refs and going to the classic excuse well, we only lost because it was rigged against us. Hope he gets blown out the next two games.

So, the Clippers are still giving up the easy switch and Luka is an absolute psychopath and has no respect for Zubac. They're just giving him the same looks he's already torn apart! Lue is still a trash defensive coach.

Anyone who thought this game would play out any differently than it is just does not know the Clippers. Especially this iteration of the team. I'm not surprised at all.

I can tell this arena is insanely loud but it's not coming off in the broadcast at all, it sucks.

Also, why are the announcers still not in the arena? There are 17000 other people there.

Wow, an equally impressive response by the Clippers.

The Bucks could have gotten better? I mean that seems like a pretty big detail to miss out.

The Heat were not a fluke...not sure how they benefited from the bubble more than anyone else. It's the same handicap for everyone, if they're a fluke then so are the Lakers.

The Heat were 15-22 on the road last year. They literally benefited more than anyone else, considering they had HCA is none of the series.

I'm well aware, that still doesn't give an objective handicap advantage. They all go into the bubble with the same rules, and if anything neutral fans would make it more balanced.

Not to mention the Heat had Bam (3rd year, raw), Duncan (2nd year), Herro (1st year) and Nunn (1st year, injured in bubble).

So naturally a lot of those Heat players improved during the hiatus prior to the bubble. I'm not sure how "THEY SUCK ON THE ROAD, GOT LUCKY" is the primary narrative and not the fact that they had 4 super young players who likely just improved considerably with their time to practice.

Their rookies essentially became 2nd year players, and Bam essentially entered his prime. In other words, the Heat were better than their record because....they literally became better players. Nothing flukeish about players working hard on their craft, while some players in the NBA decided not to touch a basketball prior to the bubble. That's quite the opposite of a fluke.

Either way, the idea that a team won 14 games in the playoffs are a FLUKE team totally undermines what the word fluke even means.
