Jimmy Butler to NYK
Jeremy Lamb, Kevin Knox, 13, 19, '22 NYK 1st and '24 NYK 1st to Miami
Obi Toppin and 21 to Indiana
We would still have $28 Million in cap space too.
C-Mitchell Robinson
PF-Julius Randle
SF-Jimmy Butler
SG-R.J. Barrett
PG-Immanuel Quickley/Luca Vildoza
+ $28 Million in cap space + Cap MLE
Butler would be the leader, the alpha and the go-to guy that puts us on his back that we need. He would make life so easy for Barrett and Randle to further develop especially if we can get a good point guard with the cap space (Lowry in this case? Conley? Going all in on Ball?).
Robinson/Randle/Butler/Barrett/(Ball, Conley, Lowry, etc.?) is a huge change in the ceiling of this team. Adding an elite guy like Butler and upgrading the point guard spot would solve so many things.

Unfortunately I saw some mocks that have him going top 10

Terrible idea, and if history has taught us anything, typical swing for the fences, reactionary Knicks move. I'm praying WWW and Leon Rose are more about the long term picture.
Butler was straight cheeks in the first round Milwaukee embarrassed them... You can say he was playing hurt, but we might also be watching a star go into a long decline.
If you add an old ass Conley or Lowry to the mix, is that team really much better than this year's heat?
At the very best, we're looking at a second round out, salary cap nightmare, and no real shot at contention for the next 5 years (knowing the Knicks that means 10 years).
No more quick fixes, keep all the picks, develop homegrown talent, keep cap space and sign an actual superstar like Luka 4-5 years from now.

Barrett like Middleton.
Rose like Holiday.
That could work.
