NBA fact. The Heat got swept after the 2006 championship (Wade and Shaq) and the 2020 NBA Finals (Butler and most of the same Heat team) in the 1st round.

Umm. Who would ever care about this?

Dorian is going to be having Paul George nightmares all summer if Dallas can't find a way to take 2 out of 3. Kawhi has been completely unstoppable and just trucking Maxi, but PG's basically getting whatever he wants too, just more of his are jumpers and not dunks.

The same people who say the Spurs weren't a dynasty because they never repeated despite 5 championships with the same core and being a legit contender for nearly 2 decades. Some people are so insecure that they believe giving another team any credit at all somehow diminishes the achievements of their favorite team.

I don't get. My little Mavs were a great team in the Dirk era. Spurs and Lakers were better over that same time frame. That takes nothing away from Dallas being the 2nd best regular season team over that span and being the only team other that those 2 to escape the brutal West.

Why doesn't he mention that the Heat went to 4 straight Finals from 11-15? Oh yeah that hurts his narrative.

I voted Randle because he's been shooting the ball terribly and his shot selection has been abysmal but I'm disappointed in Kemba..maybe it's the injuries but he's just been bad since arriving in Boston. His play is actually hurting them. Only 2 games but in games 1 and 2 he shot 32% from the field combined. I thought he was a better player than that from what I saw in Charlotte..

I will give them credit for something they did 15 years ago. But that is past history to say the least. The NBA changes so much and so fast, I have a hard time crediting any current franchise that is not a current contender. Its like giving Boston props for KG 20 years ago. Everyone of those players is retired so what is the point?

This thread is about the current playoffs. Like it was said, who cares about two, three, four decade old ancient history?

I think its Bam and here's why. Jimmy has been god awful, but he's a player who can't shoot being defended by three of the best defensive players in the NBA.

Bam has NO excuses for his play. I don't actually expect Jimmy to score on Giannis, Jrue, and Tucker. Maybe my expectations of him were lower than you guys' but I wasn't surprised at all when they would force him to pass or take a tough shot. Bam was missing wide open jumpers, blowing finishes around the rim, and playing tentative all series. He had much easier scoring OPPORTUNITIES than Jimmy, and still sucked.

Randle is horrific of course, but he's Julius Randle, and he's a Knick. I'm sorry but my surprise level is exactly zero.

No excuses for it being his first playoff series. Thousands of other players have had there first series and have breasted or done bad but not this bad.

Look up the stats he really is the worst player ever in the nba.

Dude has bad body language and is not a captain. Straight trash. He’s mailed it in and wants to go home.

If Knicks max him he will play like he is now with no incentive to get better. He’s that type of player that has all the talent but is a mental midget and only plays for his next contract.

I thought he changed this year. There is no denying the talent. But there is also no denying how bad he has been. Now if he played bad and actually out the effort in I wouldn’t be mad but the dudes mind is not in the game and you can see it with indecision, not being in the right place all the time turning the ball over like it’s a hot potato.

I’m sorry but I am so disappointed. If he wants to stay for 17-18 millions a year I’ll do it with the asterisk we sign anther star. Otherwise ship him out for two first.

Crucifying players because they have one bad playoffs showing is not the way to go for the Knicks. Randle has been the most exciting Knick to watch since linsanity(not including Rose). Except that he's much better and he hasn't done it just for 1 month.

He is a very good player and he can become even better.

The Knicks weren't even supposed to make the playoffs. Let alone getting the 4th seed. The team has significant future and Randle is the centerpiece for this. Support your guy and your faith will be rewarded. Because he can play and because if you don't do it...you will go back in no man's land.

The answer is Jimmy Butler. Because he was the one yelling "he can't guard me" when Giannis switched on him a couple of times in last year's playoffs. This season Giannis was on him and not only on switches. Giannis is a DPOY for a reason but that isn't an excuse for Butler. I like his spirit and i think he's a leader but sometimes you must be careful when you open your mouth. Otherwise you can easily be humiliated.

There is a fine line of having a bad playoff series and then there is a line when you are having the worst in nba history.

Tonight is there last game to watch before you don’t watch them until next year

Post like this make sense as to why the Knicks don't really deserve a good player like ever.

First, you're wrong on the merits. There's no measure that he's the worst since the shot clock invent. You're referencing the arbitrary stat of a player's first playoff series who takes a significant amount of shots. Like whatever, he's obviously playing poorly, but arbitrary stats are pointless as they are (kind of like Randle being one of like 5 players to average 20-10-5-40 3FG%).

Just a bunch of whining for the best player the Knicks have had since Melo and already talks of blowing it up.

If Knicks fans drive Randle away and the Nets win a title, why would anyone ever bother to come to NYK? To get this tongue lashing at the first sign of struggles.

The worst fans in the NBA by far from how they interact with their own players.

Actually there is merit. Maybe do some digging on the internet. Because numbers don’t like. In a 4 game span he has the worse percentage with 70 fg attempts.

Kristaps Porzingis. The guy dropped a 34 and 13 in game 3 of last year's series, even hoping for anything close to that in a game seems absolutely laughable now with the way he's been playing. His 20 and 9 regular season averages have dipped to 15 and 4

I went with Randle only because that matchup against the Hawks was supposed to be super competitive with both teams essentially equal to one another. You've got Trae in his first playoffs too leading his team to W's and the Knicks having to rely on Rose(playing exceptionally) to be their best player because Randle can't hit throw the ball in the ocean.

His numbers are down across the board and he is averaging 3.8tov vs his 4.3ast while still soaking up 30%USG and 40%TS.

Randle has absolutely been shook and he’s playing the Hawks...

At least played against the best wing defender in the league in Jrue and an amazing team.

Randle getting smoked by Collins who can barely defend at all.

27% FG...

Still think you're wrong. It was the first 3 games with 50 FGA. Which was my point. It's an arbitrary stat. Who cares. We all know he's played poorly.
