This year's pick, probably 1 more.
If Beal wants to be here, I would consider it. Wonder how Brad feels about it. it would definitely make Tatum happy.

Kemba Walker (if he doesn't exercise Trade Kicker)
Romeo Langford or Aaron Nesmith (125% of Beal's salary + $100,000 only fits one)
Two 1rst Round Picks
Celtics:
PG: Marcus Smart / Payton Pritchard / Tremont Waters (Two -Way, not a regular roster spot)
SG: Bradley Beal / Evan Fournier / whoever's left between Langford & Nesmith / Carsen Edwards (just waive him already)
SF: Jaylen Brown / Evan Fournier ? / whoever's left between Langford & Nesmith
PF: Jayson Tatum / Jabari Parker / Grant Williams
C: Robert Williams III / Tristan Thompson / Luke Kornet
That's 13 players under contract plus Waters still on a 2-way. Not sure what to do about Tacko Fall. Maybe worth a roster spot.
Room for a draft pick and Free Agent plus one more Two-Way contract. Probably could keep a spot open for a mid-season buyout. Desperately need a PF that can score, rebound, SET SCREENS, SEAL OFF and DEFEND in the same player. Jabari Parker's achilles heals are his defense and lack of a reliable 3 point shot.

I don't think you're missing anything. It doesn't make sense. I would much rather trade for Lonzo. Or trade Kemba for Steven Adams since they both have ridiculous salaries. They can have Ojeleye, Edwards, and Grant Williams, too. They might need a new point guard if Lonzo departs for greener pastures other than Boston.
This would be awesome:
Lonzo (sign and trade for $20M) + Steven Adams ($30 M) == Kemba ($37.6M !!!!) + TT ($9.3 M) + CE (1.5) + SO (1.8) + pick
That'd significantly improve the team.
Ball bring terrific pace, vision and size at the point, and Adams, at what 27, is a reliable 7 footer and one of the physically strongest players in the league.

We are in strong position come trade deadline next February because we can offer WAS Smart, whoever Kemba is traded for, some picks....and if Beal would insist on going to Boston, than WAS has no choice but to take whatever package or get nothing if he signs with us in 2022.
Prichard
Beal
Brown
Tatum
R.Williams
Is very realistic...we are only one Kemba trade for expiring contracts away.

I know Kemba's gets paid too much, but he's still a very good player who scored 19 ppg this year and was a deserving all star the year before. He's Kemba Walker! You don't trade him for expiring contracts.
And why would you ever let Smart walk? At least trade him and get some value in return. (I would keep him)
As for Fournier, I would like to keep him around, too. You only let him go due to money. He shot 41% from 3 this year, and 43% in the post season.
Plus don't forget Parker. He is really not a bench player.

Kemba
Nesmith or Langford (they can take their pick)
Time Lord
2021 1st round pick, 2023 1st round pick, 2025 1st round pick
Then we draft Neemias Queta with our 2nd round pick. Check out his footage if you haven't seen it on youtube. He's projected currently as a 2nd round pick and if we can get him with 45th pick it'd be steal of draft.
C Thompson (by end of season Queta is starting)
F Tatum
F Brown
G Beal
G Smart
Bench: Fournier (6th man of year), Nesmith/Langford (whoever's left), Queta (by end of season Thompson off bench when Queta is starting), Pritchard, Madar..

Kemba a star?
4 time all star. Including all-star appearance in 2020. played at all-star level (when healthy) post-all-star break this season. averaged 26 PPG over his last 10 games during regular season. No a superstar, but it's not a stretch to still consider him a star player in this league. A full offseason of rest and treatment for his knee should do him wonders after the shortest offseason in history last year..

You may laugh now, but this trade becomes very plausible if Washington decides to move on from Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal notifies Washington of his intention not to re-sign in 2022. Suddenly it's very plausible. And I can see both Beal moving on from Washington and Washington moving on from Westbrook as real possibilities, which then makes this trade a distinct possibility.
