New round new opponent!

Embiid is questionable. Obviously his availability impacts a lot. Team has been tough at home without him regardless though.

Will be watching to see how the matchups work out. Who Curry guards. Who young guards and is guarded by and the general strategy there.

Hopefully the Sixers start a second straight series out 1-0.

Go Sixers!

Play Embiid go for the jugular. Don't think a few extra few days/week rest makes a difference. He can either play or not. If we go down 0-2 and then he returns, he'll be pressing.

Hopefully Thybulle gets the matchup-dictated start and hounds Young for the majority of the game. And then put Simmons on him on important possessions at the end of quarters.

Thybulle needs to start and be on Young all game long.

On the other end, they have to hunt Trae mercilessly all game long.

The Hawks have no chance, whether or not the Sixers have Embiid, if Trae isn’t putting up numbers.

They are going to try and win this series without Embiid. We’ll see if they can, and how far they will let it get down before they bring him back. Or even if Embiid can come back at all.

If they guard Trae well, it is possible to win games in this series without Embiid. The tactical aspect is very important now and I hope Doc will let the assistant coaches do the work and resist doing stupid **** like putting Curry on Trae.

Have a feeling we're going to see Jo today. Upgraded from questionable to game time decision.

I would try to get tobias matched up on Trae as much as possible on offense. If Ben were more aggressive I think this would something he take advantage of highly unlikely. Have Ben guard him in the 4th.

Better be Ben or Thybulle.

Heard a debate with Rich Hoffman and Derek Bodner stating that the starter to replace Jo if he's out, would be Thybulle or George Hill. Annoyed if it's Hill, because although offensively competent, he would be on Young.

Have no idea why they have so many issues with putting Ben on the best scorer. I suspect it might be because of Trae's ability to draw fouls, and they want to avoid foul trouble for Ben. Stiill, can't tout that hey, we dont' care about offense for Ben because he's an all-world defender, and then not put him on the best players in the league. It's weird.

I wonder if fans will be walking into the Wells Fargo with backpacks full of stones on the off chance Trae bows or does anything to "disrespect" the fans. Love our fans!

Much like Joel Embiid, Trae's antagonizing of the crowd is more playful and fun. Hopefully no fans do anything mean-spirited his way. Including making fun of his hair.

I think Trae already has a hard on for the 76ers because of the last 2 games we played against the Hawks. Hell I believe he even got a technical and he was not even dressed to play. I hope the fans don't poke the bear (Trae) and give him any additional motivation. Save all that energy for cheering on the 76ers.

If Matisse guards Trae, Trae will he guarding him on the other end for sure. So Doc is going to have to find ways to exploit that. If Matisse just spots up in the corner, that’s advantage Hawks. Maybe some quick baseline duck-ins to take advantage of the size difference.

I'm glad we have Maxey now, but imagine how much pressure we could put on Trae had Fultz panned out in 2017 AND/or we drafted Alexander in 2018. This would be a 4-0 sweep and Embiid could sit out the whole series and get geared up for the ECF.

We'd be talking a dynasty if we nailed both of those drafts. Good Fultz/Tatum + SGA/Bridges would make our team unreasonable. Those GM transition years from Hinkie to Morey were rough.
