I don’t get why some people are upset with Harden joining the Nets. Other teams had a shot at Harden (including the C’s) but decided to pass. Lots of fans didn’t want to see JB traded for Harden but think it is unfair he goes to the Nets.

It wasn't Giannis, it was Khrissy Middleton. 13 pts last game, started 0/7 this. Embarrassing stuff. Dress them Nets players in Cs uniforms and he scores 25 a game on .500 from the field.

That’s fair but this is years of seeing Giannis not being able to run the offense like other superstars can in the playoffs. He can’t be the primary ball handler in pick and roll and has no jumper. You can’t win in the playoffs if you don’t have a bag. Blake Griffin treated him like Ben Simmons not picking him up until he got past the free throw line. It’s embarrassing.

Giannis also had 6 pts at half and every Nets starter outscored him. That ain’t gonna cut it and was mostly why they were down 20+ at half and game over.

Check Middleton's stats through the first 2 games. Dude always udnerperforms in the playoffs.
I agree Giannis does, too, but Middleton is a complete flop. He's averaging 19 pts on 17 shots so far in the playoffs. He makes 30 mils. He averaged 20 pts on 18 shots last year. He's averaging around 16 pts on .380 from the field for his playoff career. That's freaking embarrassing for the money he's making.
Good assessment:

League has the least parity of the 4 major sport’s. It’s dumb that you can predict the finals teams with good accuracy before the season I’m even starts. Teams and players are always gonna act in their best interests it’s up the the league to remove the max salary restriction or at the very least bump it up to 50% of the cap.

Can't believe I actually have to go for the Sixers in a playoff series, my irrational sports hate for Trae Young and the Hawks is now so high.

You can predict contenders and lottery teams easily, and only a handful of teams will surprise in either direction. But yeah, I don’t think it’s easy, most years, to peg finals teams.

For Atlanta to just be down 2 at the half is a major win here.

What did Philly pay for Seth Curry and why didnt we get him instead??? That shooting would have been a godsend off the bench or starting.

Have the same thought about Atlanta and Bogdonovich….

No clue if he was attainable, but he was right there for the taking this past offseason.

first off, Kemba's atrocious contract prevented us from going after anyone of note. Second, Danny was too busy signing guys like TT and Teague instead of getting shooters and he wasn't going to get those guys AND a shooter because then one of his draft failures from 2016 or 2019 would have to be dropped. Danny leaving should be a Godsend if for no other reason than our drafts should be much improved and teams might actually be willing to answer the phone when we call with trade interest.

Or the Mavs simply thought Josh Richardson was good and wanted him? It was a laughable trade but pretty obvious that the Mavs THOUGHT he was good

For those who didn't know, Gordon Hayward's status was still uncertain when the Sixers acquired Seth Curry.

So it's not like Ainge passed on Seth Curry.

Ainge was focused on the Hayward situation.

There was no move to be made until Hayward made his decision.

Seth Curry became a Sixer days before Hayward decided to leave Boston.
