Many other people would have the same 5 person list. There aren’t any crazy choices there.

hard to argue with his choices in the top 5. Maybe Bam gets in there?

Seems like an honest list. Most players will have one of their teammates clearly out of place on a list like this. Glad he didn't try to sneak Wiseman on his list or anything like that.

I have Don over Trae. But that's really my only issue with the list.

He knows for sure he is a clown if he inserted Wiseman to his list.

Ha, I actually didn't know who Don was but now that I realize that it's Mitchell I can see that one as well. Maybe he was trying to make Shaq happy with his list?

I approve. It's hard to narrow it down to top 5. Mitchell should prob be on there but at that point it becomes a top 6.

Edit: F it, Donovan is in. It's a Top 6 now. Top 5 is stupid haha.

1. Luka
2. Mitchell
3. Trae
4. Tatum
5. Zion

I didn't realize how good Mitchell was until he went playoff mode 2 years in a row. Him and Trae both took it to another level in the playoffs.

Also don't forget about Jamal Murray. He's not top 5 but he easily could be replaced with Tatum or Zion.

1. Luka
2. Zion
3. Mitchell

Its a solid list. Trae is quieting the naysayers up league wide.

Don is confusing because I associate Doncic with that more than Mitchell.

You can quibble over Mitchell but i don't know who you take out.
I wouldn't make a case for anyone

I'd put Mitchell over Trae but that is only slightly. Overall his list is 100% to me. They are the clear top 6 though.

Mitchell should get credit for his playoff performances but Tatum just had a series where he dropped 50, 40 and 32. And he's much better in the regular season.

Top 5's are boring and too easy to do. A top 25 or something would be interesting and give us something to actually discuss.

I think Trae is after Tatum. He's the best offensive player with elite scoring and elite playmaking and his defense can improve a bit and or be covered up. My list would go like:

1. Luka (by far): Top 5 player in year two and three.
2. Tatum: Top 15ish player for now, elite shot creator but not quite consistent enough as a scorer and has mental lapses honestly. Has more playmaking potential than people realize and can be an elite defender.
3. Zion: I have some serious questions about him, but he's not even been maximized yet and until the last few minutes of a game, he's unstoppable.

4. Trae: An elite scorer and playmaker. I think he can be a top 10 player.

5. Donovan Mitchell: He just has guts. A little inconsistent in the regular season, but he's an elite athlete with solid skills and will improve.

6. Devin Booker: He's great, just not quite as great as the others.

It’s a good list, can’t really complain much. I personally wouldn’t put Zion top 5 right now though since he hasn’t really proven anything

As of right now, I’d put Donovan over him
