I like Simmons at the 4 if you can talk him into it.

I have a Spurs trade idea.

George Hill, Seth Curry and Shake Milton

for

Derrick White and Tre Jones

Fair deal for both teams, IMO. We cash in some shooting for guys with better shotcreating talent.

Simmons + Maxey + Milton (if they want it) + three 1sts for Lillard. Got to stop with the charades here.
Embiid centric works out fine with a one man offense in a can in Lillard on the outside. Good luck thinking the strategy we have will work out optimally even against the Hawks in crunch time let alone better teams. As guard rotations go we are bringing a rock to a missile fight.

Lillard
Hill
Resign Green
Harris
Embiid

Curry 6th man
Thybulle
Resign Howard
(Burks, Burke, Williams scoring type on the cheap)
Bjelica type on the cheap, if not BBall Paul could get some serious burn here.)
Joe to develop into a sharpshooter (don’t need korkmaz then, can shoot the thing).

Done and done. No messing around. 2 years at the cherry. Time to pony it up and hope for the best

Ain’t going to be much of a future once Embiid is hampered. He ain’t going to have Duncan/Garnett/Wilt like durability or longevity that’s for sure. And there’s no point restarting.(hardest part is finding the championship cornerstone we’ve had that for years now).

Best move right now is to go all in as it should have been from the jump. His WR% is all time great besides other great big men. Other great big men suffered without the correct counterparts. Once it happened it’s auto finals/chip/chips. Hopefully Morey is smart enough to know that.

Portland fans looks roast to move on from CJ. I wonder if we could get him without giving up Simmons or Harris?

I wouldn’t mind CJ at all but it makes Harris expendable imo (he requires too much setup time for my liking as a third) but more the merrier.

The contracts though doesn’t work out well if Harris isn’t moved for CJ

McCollum's $30m makes him virtually impossible to get without including one of our big three contracts. Even if we combined Curry and Hill, we'd only get to $18m.

Obviously do that trade straight up 10/10 times. But could you imagine if we made the trade (with Thybulle) and Harden couldn't even play.

Ok, Ben is gone this off season, right? How about a youth movement?

Simmons

to Detroit for

2021 1st round pick - Jalen Green(SG) or Jalen Suggs(SG)
Saddiq Bey SF $2.6M \ 4yrs
Josh Jackson SG $4.7M \ 2yrs
Cory Joseph PG $12.6M \ 2yrs
Jerami Grant PF, $19.0M \ 3yrs

Hill Joseph Maxey

Green Curry Milton Joe

Bey Thybulle(resign) Jackson

Harris Grant Reed

Embiid Howard(resign)

Omg no. Harris is a far better player than McCoulmn and you have the Sixers adding value.
No interest in this trade from the Sixers.

Hypothetically, if Portland would be willing to accept either trade, which would you take?

A) Simmons + Milton + 2023 FRP + 2027 FRP <---> Lillard + Little (whether this takes 2 or 3 teams)

Lillard/Hill/Maxey
Green/Curry/SRP
Thybulle/Joe/FRP
Harris/Little/Tolliver
Embiid/Howard/Reed

B) Simmons + Hill <---> McCollum + Covington + POR 2023 FRP + 2025 FRP + 2027 FRP

McCollum/Maxey/Milton
Green/Curry/Joe
Covington/Thybulle/SRP
Harris/FRP/Tolliver
Embiid/Howard/Reed

This may seem like an easy decision, but taking ages/contracts/picks into account I think it's worth a debate.
2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:

Lowry/Melton/Payne
Maxey/Hield/Downtin
Batum/Oubre/Council
Harris/Covington/Martin
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

The more I think about the more the Blazers would want Thybulle and another young player with Ben.

The trade between Lillard and us is getting to desperation levels because there’s a clock on Embiid.

Morey would weight it up but roleplayers are easier to replace and championship conversations don’t begin without the correct player.

Something like Ben + Thybulle + Milton/Maxey and two 1sts would not surprise at all like not even a little bit. Or sub Thybulle/Maxey/Milton for an extra first. It’s basically 4 assets at minimum whichever you look at it. But that’s for Lillard which is the player we should be going for.

We are top heavy anyway like all teams are if you’re swinging for the fence got to aim for the best available, that’s Lillard not close.

I don't think you can get that star player. I like Bey and would roll the dice on a top 2 pick in the draft.

Would someone dare Porzingis <-> Tobias ?

I would, although not 100% sure of the fit with Joel

Nah, he is cooked. He can't move his feet on defence.
