Hornets, Lakers, Knicks, Wolves Interested In Myles Turner

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jun 10, 2021 3:52 pm

If the Indiana Pacers decide to make Myles Turner available in a trade this offseason, they're expected to receive significant interest.

The Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks have expressed interest in Turner for a significant amount of time. The Minnesota Timberwolves also have strong interest in Turner.

J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star believes the Hornets are the team who is most likely to deliver an aggressive offer for Turner.

Would love to see him in Charlotte. I wonder what it will take to make it happen.

Hornets - Yes, makes most sense given their week front line

Lakers - No ( its a centers carousel over there - Gasol, Hazrell, Drummond )

Knicks - Yes ( Sign & Trade for Mitch Robinson / Elf Payton )

Wolves - No ( Kat is your center )

AD needs to man up and play center. Lakers need guards.

AD injury history if a result of him playing Center -- Lakers will not risk having AD sidelined, thats why they are stockpiling Centers ( and will continue to do so so long as AD is on the Roster )

AD is not capable of carrying a franchise, whereas Lebron is. Unfortunately Lebron is nearing the end of an illustrious career -- will be an interesting offseason.

Would take more then Mitchell Robinson & Payton.
A) they don't need Payton, they already have Ball, Graham & Rozier
B) Robinson would definitely be involved, but although he's young/intriguing is often injured

Huh? The sign and trade is Knicks to pacers. Not sure what you mean by your point “A”...pacers do not have graham ball or Rozier.

Lol, not sure what I was smoking there... Let me revise, in terms of the Knicks to get Turner, he'd obviously be a great fit for them, but think they'd need to add a better piece than Payton with Robinson.

You drive a hard bargain...we'll sweeten the pot with a lil Kevin Knox since you are twisting my arm. Pacers don't have a lot of leverage to ask for much more than Payton/Robinson. Let him walk for nothing or take some pieces back.

Well he's not a UFA until 2023 so the pacers can be patient, plus there'll be quite a bit of competition around the league for Turner to push the price.
