Who is the better Bogdanović - Bojan or Bogdan?

Bogdan is a pretty underrated defender too. He has his struggles when he has to guard quicker 2's or PG's but when matched up against a guy he can keep up with he can get really locked in. He makes great use of his wingspan

Ya I think they’re both underrated on the defensive end.

Put it one way, neither guy needs to be substituted out because of defensive reasons.

Are they stud defenders? Nope. Do I have to worry or hide either one on the defensive end? Nope.

According to Wikipedia, Bojan's name is is pronounced [ˌbǒjan boɡˈdǎːnoʋit͜ɕ] in the Serbo-Croatian IPA. So, it's an "o" sound. Bogdan's page doesn't have the IPA notation.

When I took Russian classes, I learned that in Russian (a different Slavic language, obviously) the letter "o" is pronounced "a" when it is unstressed (which it is in this case, the stress is on the "da" syllable). So, I tried to find this phenomenon to answer your question and it is apparently called akanye -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akanye

Based on that wikipedia link, this phenomenon exists in Slovene and the Kajkavian dialect of Croatian but it doesn't exist in Serbian. Therefore, Bogdan's name is probably pronounced with an "o" sound as well.

Obviously, I cannot be sure of any of the above. I'm neither a native speaker of Serbo-Croatian nor a linguist (sadly).

Serbian alphabet is phonetic, so the letters are always pronounced the same.

BEFORE this 2021 season, Bojan is used to be a better shooter and scorer, while Bogdan more impactful as a more dimensional player (an all-around player who can play pg-sg-sf, proven in clutch moments and with a good defense for Euro-guards standards). The notable advantage in Bojan's favor is that he is 3cm taller while Bogdan is 3 years younger. Fact that both playing under almost the same contract (73/4 and 72/4) says that their overall "rating" around the league was very similar BEFORE this season.

But this season during Mitchell's injury pause Bojan showed some leader's qualities and a bigger impact on the game, while Bogdan's shooting after the all-star break improved in a shocking way (TS% skyrocketed from 54%TS% to 63%TS%). During the playoff so far Bojan once again looks like clearly a better pure shooter but if Bogdan proves in the near future that his 2021 regular season ain't a fluke, of course, he will be remembered as a more valuable player.

Bogdan is 4 years younger, so even if they are equal, I'd rather have him.

53% over 47% is not such a clear advantage. While the majority still thinks that Bogdanovic is better than Bogdanovic, more and more people think that Bogdanovic is actually better!
