Maybe not leaving Toronto, but hitching his wagon to the wrong horse.

This is why management should never let players dictate personnel issues. Kawhi should’ve told the Clippers I’ll join it you get another superstar. For some reason he thought PG would be perfect and it turns out the Clippers gave up the farm for the wrong player. Let’s say hypothetically the Clippers gave the same haul up for a guy like Harden? Or Chris Paul and Harden? They’d be way more competitive. In fact, few teams would’ve turned down what the Clippers traded in the end.

Now the Clippers are stuck with PG and need to come up with some BS pitch to Kawhi as to why he should stick around. After convincing him to stay, they’ll need to trade PG and figure out how to compete with a bunch of teams that are deeper and more talented. If everyone is healthy next season then I don’t see how this current Clippers team can survive vs Utah, Denver, Lakers, GSW, and maybe even Dallas.

I was never big on the guy, however for what it's worth, PG WAS coming off a season where he was a finalist (Top 3 in votes) for both MVP and DPOY.

That, and also PG was not Kawhi's first choice. It was reported that he had attempted to recruit KD first.

I'm actually kind of believing in the Jazz. It feels more balanced than Luka and the others.

Plus as the playoffs drag on Kawhi's effectiveness should lessen right?

[gfycat][/gfycat]Watching reggie jackson scream and yell at Luke Kennard is hilarious. Dude was going at him all game long.

Btw....reggie can't play defense. I counted at least 5 breakdowns that were his fault. He really needs to worry about himself. And u can tell him and tyrone Lue are feuding behind the scenes regarding his playing time. It doesn't matter if you score those points but just give dem back on the other end of the floor.

Donovan mitchell is in serious need of more maturity. Dude has to chill with the temper tantrums.

Bogdan making kawhi a passer is kinda shocking. Didnt think he could defend this well.

Lowry as a champ should not be taking a massive pay cut to play for a contender

No contender will pay him more than $30m over 2 years. Lowry’s chose is less money and contend or more money on a weaker team. Nowadays it makes sense for players to take the most money possible and then orchestrate a trade to a contender (eg Rondo).

They also lost Deandre hunter I believe. And also it doesn’t help with the nba so obvious about wanting the sixers in the ecf

They also aren’t giving Young his cheapo fouls either. So he can’t get warmed up and set the tempo like how he would like and it’s also forcing him to take shots he normally wouldn’t.

Philly with a 39-32 free throw attempt edge on the road in a playoff game.

Richard Jefferson needs to stop trying to use big words he can't even pronounce, giving Doris Burke a run for worst commentator ATM.

De'Andre Hunter is a huge loss for the Hawks. Tobias Harris is killing the Hawks this series, because no one else can match up with him, so he consistently gets whatever shot he wants.

I'm kind of shocked that the Suns have blown out the Nuggets in 3 games this series, but it's not surprising. The Suns are just a flat-out better team, and they match up reallllllly well against the Nuggets in so many ways.

I think this is the first time Jokic has finally looked human in the playoffs, and it's not fun to witness. He was practically unguardable up until this series. Seems like he has finally met his match in Ayton, who is long enough to contest his jumper (which is usually accurate), strong enough to not get bullied by him in the post, and quick enough to not get blown by him. Add in some timely traps from the Suns, and Jokic just hasn't been able to work his magic like he usually does.

One thing that stands out in this series is Michael Porter Jr. and his overall performance. He is beyond horrendous on defense, and his presence on the floor makes it next to impossible for the Nuggets to make crucial defensive plays. The Suns love picking on him every chance they get, because they know MPJ lacks mobility and loses track of players easily. In addition, he's just not a great offensive player. His offensive skillset with the ball is pretty bad: his handle isn't good, his playmaking isn't good, and he can't post up smaller players. His amazing shooting efficiency masks his awful shot selection as well. It's already bad enough that the Nuggets have plenty of one-dimensional players around Jokic (AG and Campazzo are particularly egregious), but MPJ really takes the cake.

Suns are playing superb basketball right now, but Jokic looks exhausted out there and has no help.

Ive watched all 3 games and honestly don't think Murray would make much of a difference in the aggregate. Phoenix is getting good shots at will. I'm talking EVERY possession they get a good shot. Murray wouldn't have a big impact on defense and they are getting totally carved up. I should concede that i'm a little biased for defensive basketball.

Damn it's nice to see Paul get a moment like this. Might be the best ive ever seen him play. He is CARVING denver up like a turkey.

If murray was playing.....yah denver would probably score more points. My bet is phoenix would keep scoring at will and still be up 3-0.

I don't believe in donovan mitchell. Dude looks like a meltdown waiting to happen. His teammates have to get in his ear to counsel him like 10 to 20 times per game. And that kick of the chair i have a good source.....it was because their coach told him he had to sit on the bench for a coulle minutes after he had 2 lazy turnovers. He didnt like it. Kicked the chair. These arent good signs. I get that from donovan's perspective...it's "but look at my stats". I don't think he gets winning basketball yet.

In thinking phoenix goes to the finals at this point. I didnt have them doing that to start the playoffs but paul's masterful play has made me a believer. He's been their mvp regardless of Booker's stats.

I would've thought everyone would be happy to see paul get this moment. Dude seems like a stand-up guy.

Yep, that's what a very good defense does - it hurries your shots and doesn't allow you to settle in. Between Simmons and Thybulle, Trae has his work cut out for him the rest of the series.
Truth is on the side of the oppressed.
