Even if he hadn't put his foot under Kyrie he went crashing into a player midair. How it wasn't any sort of foul was baffling and like I said before, this is what happens when you let one team believe they can get away with anything. Nothing is going to happen to the refs, but let one of the players open their mouths and they'll be fined for speaking out against the refs.

It's not revisionist. And the refs being poor doesn't preclude us not playing well. They're not mutually exclusive scenarios. We might've been a bit better when Kyre went down than we were at the very start of the game, but we were far from lighting the world on fire.DarkXaero wrote:Now we're doing revisionist stuff again. Go back and see what the posters here said during that stretch. We were blaming the refs for taking away our momentum. Middleton got a 4 pt play off a soft foul (which later wasn't given to KD). Nets getting called for more soft fouls that resulted in turnovers. And besides that, it is a game of runs. Kyrie scored on the play where he got hurt, and I believe it was a 1-2 possession deficit at the time.ArksNetsSince99 wrote:DarkXaero wrote:All this Nash bitching really needs to stop. We've suffered from bad luck first and foremost. The moment Kyrie went down with that injury, this game was over, it's really that simple. If Harden doesn't injury his hamstring again 43 seconds into game 1, this would have been the last game of the series. Bucks have been incredibly lucky to benefit from our injuries, and that's really what it comes down to.
If we don't get Harden back healthy by game 5 (key word: healthy), then we're screwed because Kyrie is likely out for the remainder of this series. This is why you cannot give up opportunities in the playoffs, and why the game 3 loss stings even more now because we could have killed this series off.
Lets not fool ourselves, before Kyrie went down everything was going downhill already , we didn’t run one solid possession previous 6 or 7 trips before then , why ?

NBA wanted to extend this to 7. I knew this game was over the moment I saw Tony Brothers and Scott Foster.
The problem is they miscalculated how dirty Giannis is. I expect calls going our way at home but with Kyrie and Harden possibly out for the series, we might as well pack it up.

The refs definitely disrupted our rhythm, there was a stretch of them calling 2-3 costly fouls on us. You're right that they don't have to be mutually exclusive scenarios but officiating disrupted our flow and that can cause bad play on our end.NyCeEvO wrote:It's not revisionist. Yeah, I wasn't buying the sweep narrative other people were saying.DarkXaero wrote:I agree with you on the Bucks, they're really not impressive at all. They seem like a mentally weak team to me that only starts playing well when circumstances favor them greatly. It is really not that difficult to make Giannis look like a liability at times, and everyone else on the roster is very streaky. It's just a damn shame that we've to deal with these crucial injuries because I truly do believe now that it would have been a sweep if we were healthy.NyCeEvO wrote:DarkXaero wrote:All this Nash bitching really needs to stop. I agree about everything but is inevitably losing the series.
I’m still thoroughly unimpressed by Giannis and the rest of the team. They were at home and never looked comfortable outside of Kyrie going down and us not adjusting.
If our bench players don’t put themselves under too much pressure in Game 5, I fully expect us to roll. For some reason, the next game isn’t until Thursday lol.
The Brooklyn crowd will be amped. I expect the coaching staff to make the adjustments in Game 5 that they frankly should’ve made during these two road games and I expect the role players to light it up, regardless of whether Kyrie is playing.
If Harden is back and plays appropriately measured (as in not passive and deferring but also not too ISO happy), we should beat them comfortably.
Maybe I’m irrationally confident but I don’t “fear the deer” at all.
I hope Kyrie’s sprain is minor and that 3 days of RICE will be enough time for him.
Still gotta believe….let’s go Nets!
Just like how we smashed Boston in the first two games and everyone was saying sweep and I said I could totally see Boston winning Game 3. Despite Boston suffering from injuries, they had all the ingredients of of a team that wouldn't go down without a fight:
- Solid coaching
- Elite scorer (Tatum) who could get really hot for at least one game
- Scrappy and streaky teammates (Smart)
The Bucks have an MVP, a very good complementary Allstar, a great team offense, good to great individual defenders and good very good team defense. I was expecting a 6-game series even if we were healthy.
When we got to Game 3, I was ready to be punched in the face. Instead, they played like they were still on the road. 83 points at home is embarrassing. If that's honestly the best they can muster at home, I am more than confident we can win Game 5, even if Kyrie and Harden are out. The stadium will be rocking, the coaching staff will make much needed adjustments, and the role players should play better. And if we win Game 5, I expect to win Game 6 as long as Harden or Kyrie is out there.

Every sprained ankle is different.ArksNetsSince99 wrote:HardenGoat wrote:Whiskey Slick wrote:

You need an MRI to show the damage done to tendons and ligaments etc., soft tissue injuries.
That said, everything about Kyrie's injury spelled "high ankle sprain", which is almost as bad as a broken ankle.
In fact I know people I played ball with who came back sooner from a broken ankle than a high ankle sprain.
IT'S OVER.![]()
BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR.
It’s a low ankle sprain
I sprained my ankle twice playing tennis , both times took me at least 5-6 weeks to get back on the court , considering Kyrie is much better athlete than myself i just dont see it how he plays in three days , i just dont
I've never had one that kept me out for one full week, let alone multiple weeks. I think I've been out out a max of 5 days playing basketball and that's primarily because I kept playing on it after it happened because I didn't want to stop playing.

Re: GT: Nets @ Bucks Game 4 - 06/13/21 3pm EST
I’m not gunna dwell on the L too much, because I was adamant they needed to steal one in Milwaukee, but most everyone wasn’t “too worried”. Now they are tied and two of the three top players are scratched.
They honestly needed to win game 3. I’m honestly gunna see what D Book and the Suns do because Brooklyn is now hanging by a thread, and I don’t see how they win this series with no Kyrie and James, and Harris, Green, James, Shamet avg 5 to 8 ppg. Not to mention Bulldozer and the deer weren’t slaughtered when they should have been. They now have life again.

Cuz we're soft AF.
Don't want to get physically...
No dirt on our hands approach.
Free throw discrepancy throughout series is first sign.
2nd is not playing DJ to bang around.
If this was streetball where we either don’t call anything or we call our own fouls, things would be different. But the refs have that responsibility and have been doing a piss poor job at officiating.
You can’t go to the free throw line if the refs don’t put you there.
The FT disparity is glaring and today was just egregious. The refs let the Bucks hammer our guys and only til their malfeasance caused Irving to get hurt did they start to actually call a clean game

We need Harden back badly. Where KD and the role players struggle to score points, Harden and those same role players can drop a ton of points because Harden is a ceiling lifter that gets guys shots. Durant is an elite scorer, but play making is not his forte.
I don't know. We'll see what happens. I still think we can win at home but it's bleak.

EvO, what you're describing are low ankle sprains. They heal quickly, a week at the most.
However everything about Kyrie's, the way it looked and the way it sounds (walking boot and crutches) sounds like a high ankle sprain, and those are debilitating for at least 4 to 6 weeks.
Believe me, nobody needs crutches much less crutches and a walking boot for a low ankle sprain.
Frankly I can run and keep playing on a low ankle sprain if I want too, but better to let it heal for a week.

There is no coincidence that those guys were officiating and the game turned the way it did. Especially during that stretch where the Nets were up double digits and suddenly three garbage calls in a row and we never had a chance.

Y’all are advocating for injuring opposing players, which is some bush league ****. GTFO with that nonsense.
You get respect by going out there and winning the damn game, not with cheap shots.
