Re: MIAMI HEAT Offseason Thread 2021
Get KP and sign Lowry for 2 years. If KW wants to come here, forget Lowry. Try to resign Dipo cheap.
Porzingis assuming he can stay healthy is a good gamble. Perfect fir for this team. Can rebound, block shots, space the floor, create his own offense and gives you 20 plus a night. More than any of our current players not named Jimmy.
Lowry has balls, tough hard nosed PG who can score, take over games at times and give us great D. Playoffs tested.
Our starting lineup would be deadly on both ends of the floor.
Bring Dipo and Herro of the bench. Good energy off the bench. Herro can close with the starters.

The need for Yimmy to rediscover his shooting form has taken on a new level of critical importance

Re: MIAMI HEAT Offseason Thread 2021
Players I hope the Heat look into this offseason
Centers
Jarrett Allen
Harry Giles- probably dirt cheap
Nerlens Noel
Richaun Holmes
Hassan Whiteside
Power Forwards
Nathan Knight
Trey Lyles
Bobby Portis- top 5 3pt shooter, let that sink in
Semi Ojeleye
Small Forwards
Ben McLemore- cheap
Shooting Guard
Hamidou Diallo- future is bright, elite athleticism
Malik Monk
Josh Hart
Point Guard
Dante Exum
Devonte' Graham
Dennis Schröder - ready for the Dragic type growth with us in a better environment.

I like Monk for cheap if Duncan is lost.
The Schroder comparison to Dragic (younger Goran) is a good one.

Monk isn't what we want defensively, but I'm down for Monk

I’m in for Dinbag. Dude can play. 6’5” PG would work nicely in our lineup, although we still need someone who can board.
Depends on how this lotto works out, should call the Pistons on Jerami Grant still.

Short of somehow acquiring a “whale”, adding the likes of Dinwiddie and Grant would be monumental.
I’m high on both.

Monk is restricted. Doubt he’s on our list

Adding Grant is a stretch but Dinwiddie looks highly realistic if we want him. Preferably through S&T

Like that Monk isn’t one dimensional.
He can run the floor and provide highlight reel finishing.
Mia could use more athleticism in a major way.

Grant is pipe dream, indeed.
I’d still try and work the phones if there were a small glimmer of hope that he could be had.

Just go on hiatus for a few weeks, come back, get instantly depressed but atleast its a single shot like an expresso. Instead if you hang around here its like sipping an americano in a 5 gallon jug daily. Lol
This season isn't even over and the next one already feels like a long one. This may require medication.

Realistically we're not going to be a top contender next year unless we pull off some unexpected move. BUT :
1) East is up for Grabs. Sixers imploded and could change drastically, Celtics took a step back, Knicks are Meh, We could be in the running for a top 3-4 seed if we make a few good moves.
2) We're a young team and should get younger. I'm fine with not being elite as long as we're building for a better future. Most of the rotation should be better next year, and we need to put a focus on developing all our young guys.
We're in a bad spot. I just don't want to make things worse by signing more bad decisions to oversized multi-year guaranteed deals.
That's not too much to ask for, is it?
