1) Sexton is more "win now" ready. He put up 24 PPG on good efficiency last year on a bad team.

2) I have a lot less defensive concenrs about him. Herro is awful on defense, Sexton is probably a plus defender in our system.

3) Rumblings are Herro lost focus. Sexton looks like a classic Heat player, guy is hard nosed and intense.

4) He's improved considerably every year, I think he'll continue to get better here.

5) Allows us to keep Duncan next to him. Herro can't play next to Duncan IMO.

Herro gave us 17/6/4 as a starter

Only reason he lost his spot is because of Spo's juggling..

I have ZERO doubt he can give you near Sexton's numbers on the Cavs where you just roll the ball out there and go do whatever.

This is the game I saw what Herro looks like when not waiting in the corner for the dribble handoffs to break down

I like Herro, I think he has huge balls. And his game is smooth.

With that said :

1) He's one of the worst defenders I've ever seen in the NBA. After 2 years, he's an extremally bad defender despite having good coaching.

2) He can't get to the line. There's no way to be a great scorer if you don't get to the line. The efficiency goes up, you put pressure on the defense, shooting FT's at high rate is a MUST for every good scorer. It's a extremally important skill for a lead guard, and for whatever reason he doesn't have it.

Basically he's a very bad defender with almost no shot at becoming a really great scorer, his focus in now in question, and physically he'll always be limited.

I'd take Sexton over him, I hate to admit it won't be an hard decision either.

The Herro/Sexton deal would be a no brainer. Sexton 24ppg is already what we hope Herro's upside to be one day. Get Sexton and Love, then package Love and pieces in a 3 way to someone like the Mavs for Porzingis. I think a few people are forgetting that KLove and Butler had a spat and don't vibe at all.

Pg: Sexton
SG: DRoB
SF: Butler
PF: Bam
C: Porzingis

**** those guys. They're straight up frauds.

Nonetheless, I'd trade Herro for Sexton in a heartbeat, and I'd attach an additional asset to do it.

They certainly have a history of blunders in their reporting, for sure.

The rationale for their Herro trading block rumor is feasible, though.

Herro and Garland are similar players, and it's possible that the rumors about Clev being open to deal Sexton stem from them considering taking Suggs in the draft, therefore, it's seems unlikely that a Sexton for Herro swap would be in their best interest.

Sexton is your typical Heat player. I want him and Jimmy in this team.

Herro for Sexton swap is a no brainier for us. Sexton played at an all star level last season. Sexton has the higher ceiling as well.

Lakers have no assets at all, why should Cavs want Schroder? even if they did, they could just sign him into space. But they have Garland.

They have Kyle Kuzma who would probably be a perfect fit at a position of need for the Cavs and they have also been rumored to wanting Alex Caruso. Achuiwa on the other hand is an awful fit next to Allen. If Achuiwa can't play with Bam I see no way the Cavs interested in that pairing. Schroder would be rerouted via S&T to a third team to make the salaries work. The Cavs imo will be looking at getting a stretch 4 or a playmaking forward with size.

Precious can play next to Bam. Spo just wouldn’t do it.

Since NBA now are more guard oriented, we need someone who will make it tough for opposing guards physically and mentally lol.

What I like about him is even if he has a bad game his ENERGY is contagious and always there. It would be big for us especially in the playoffs.

Love my Herro but I would not give a second thought for this trade.

I'll take Sexton over Lowry but my guess, as we know Riley. we might get the one player no one here even mentioned.

I can't think of a worse fitting "big 3" of Max contracts then Jimmy + Bam + Simmons.

Really can't.

Almost all max guys are shooting from outside - we'll have the rare type that doesn't X 3.

Absolutely not. My best guess right now for a trade landing spot is Cleveland and a surprise spot would be the Lakers because of the Rich Paul connections. Lakers have a sign a trade piece in Schroder that they will most likely put in play. Lakers are a real sleeper in the Ben Simmons buy low stakes with Rich Paul pulling the strings. S&T Schroder and Kuzma can get something done on that front.

Collin Sexton would fit so well here. I really hope the Cavs buckle and are happy with an Achuiwa and Herro return. I'd even throw in Okpala for good measure. Hope the Knicks keep away and go after Dinwiddie.

Big big yes for a Sexton trade, would only accept Simmons if it was for scraps. Also if Simmons came here I see his PG days being over.
