Yessir. Thought it was funny when some writer mentioned Houston would be willing to trade number 2. Evan Mobley is a legit number one prospect. If you get him at two, then you take him and run. No questions.

Don't worry, Rex. We'll get there soon enough. Draft is a ways away. Trying to work my way from the top to the bottom.
Holding Riley to his word that we will be getting a couple draft picks this year. That leaves a lot of possibilities.
I wonder if he finally understands that Giannis and Lebron and everyone else could care less about playing for the Heat culture, and the best way to get one is to draft one....?Or, get a bunch of assets and trade for one.

I'd love to be wrong but I don't see a realistic way we'll have a "a couple of picks" this year - best I could dream of is buying a pick in the ~35# range if we really fall in love with somebody.
I really want get some great athletes with freakish length that we could mold into 3&D types.
A man can dream.

David Morrow: Florida’s Scottie Lewis says his only workout so far has been with the Rockets and that it went really well. Lewis he has met with 10 or 11 teams, including the Bucks, Hornets, Heat Timberwolves and Nuggets.

Looks like a hell of an athlete. Given he's currently projected to go #7 overall on Tankathon though, I'm not sure why we're enquiring...about the only talent that could realistically get us to that sort of spot is Herro.
Maybe there is some truth in the rumours we're looking to move on?

If I was running the org, there is a zero percent chance I'd take Keon Johnson. Second round? Now we're talking. You can not keep fellating fate and drafting one sided prospects. All around guys FTW.
Herro is worth 15.7 Keons in my book. Herro has an all around game that is still developing. I'd trade him for one of the top four, and be perfectly fine with that. Any defensive specialist to add to our inability to score is a no go in my book. Keon is a major project. I'd take Precious over him in a redraft.

I haven't done enough analysis on Johnson to have much of an opinion, but I agree that it'd likely take a top 4 pick in this draft for me to consider moving Tyler.
Cunningham, Mobley, Suggs and Green look to be superior prospects - but who knows? Tyler has outperformed his draft position, and despite the slightly down year he had, I still believe there's a starting quality, long term option at the 2 for us. He isn't the first guy to have a sophomore slump, and he won't be the last.

Yes. Tyler is a 20 year old, 2nd year NBA prospect. I know everyone wants everything right away. Yesterday even. However, it doesn't work that way. When I became a pharmacist, I was pretty pathetic to start, even though I'd been working in the setting for eight years prior. You don't just jump in, heels hot. The acclimation takes time. Eventually, when you've gathered enough experiences you begin to really produce. I'm going in to my fourth year as a pharmacist and my pharm is the best in the region. Herro is going in to his 3rd year, and I'm expecting good things. The kid will get it together.

2nd year slump, 3rd year leap. Teams would've gone to town on Scouting him to limit his influence after the strong bubble run, and he didn't have much of an offseason to improve his game and react to that. Plus the lack of time to physically get stronger and recover from a long season as a rookie.
Look at Tatum - people were disappointed in his 2nd year struggles at 15 per game, the next year he jumps to 23 per game and has ascended since. Now, Tyler might not be Tatum, but I think if he's starting at the 2 next year and playing 33-35 mpg - it's realistic to expect 18+ppg plus improvements in efficiency and all around play.
Whether that's here or somewhere else though remains to be seen.
