Did you guys miss Kleber against the clippers? He was terrible! I think Beasley has way more value than this.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Seven)
Just for shitz and giggles.... everyone knows that trades can be measured in a variety of ways. Selling the farm for a great player may not be as good of a trade as one for a good player at a much cheaper cost. I will admit, I have been pretty interested in a Simmons deal, but I think the M. Turner trade rumors could be the better trade for MN.
First, Turner's contract is much more team friendly.
Secondly, he is a much more physical player and a better shooter.
Third, he is still a top level NBA defender.
Fourth, it allows us to put Kat where he belongs...at the 4.
Now, depending on price tag I take Simmons all day, but given the likely cost, Turner may be the better deal. Kicking around some stuff on trade machine... something like Beasley, Vando, and Naz for Turner works. It gives Indy shooting, two young bigs who would fit their roster, save them money and potentially compliment Sabonis better.
As for picks, not sure what would be needed to make this work....but include Balmaro if you need to
Russell, Rubio
Edwards, Nowell
McDaniels, Culver/Okoge
Towns, Juancho/draft/free agent
Turner, draft/free agent

Re: Trade Talk (Part Seven)

4 team deal as shown above.
POR - Blow it up. The Dame and CJ duo is no more. In return, take some fliers on young talent like Beasley, White, Maxey, and Culver. Rubio is salary filler and an expiring contract, but a decent stopgap veteran for the young guys. At the minimum, 5 1st round picks or pick swaps received. Perhaps Chicago offers up Patrick Williams as well.
MIN - Rubio, Malik, Culver, and a 1st for Ben Simmons. Roll with DLO/Ant/Jaden/Ben/KAT. Protections on the pick or a swap? I'll leave that open for debate. Could also be possible to keep Malik in a deal like this, but some other assets would need to be sent out I suppose.
PHI - I think if you have a chance to pair Dame with Embiid in the East you have to do it. Would still have Harris, Curry as 3rd and 4th options offensively; Thybulle for defense.
CHI - CJ is what they hoped Coby could be. With the Vucevic trade last year, they go for another win now move and pair up two dynamic scoring guards in LaVine and McCollum.

That's interesting but I think Philly would rather keep Maxey. And given the haul of picks Portland is getting I think Philly could.
Also not sure if Chicago can trade that 1st. Don't they owe a '23 1st to Orlando for Vuc?

Oh yeah. Maybe a 2025 1st with some protections? Or sub in Patrick Williams, but I think they're pretty high on him. Yeah I don't think Maxey is a deal breaker or anything so it can be done without him

I'd say Williams is untouchable to them. They took him knowing he'd be a project so there's no way they'd sell low on him after a season. Maybe that 1st though, yeah, although good god will that GM have to be praying they both make the playoffs and re-sign LaVine after investing 3 1sts into the roster.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Seven)
According to Doogie, we want Simmons 'badly'. I am preparing myself for the deal, even though I am 95% against it.
But, if we really can trade for Simmons without trading Dlo a S5 with KAT/Simmons/McDaniels/Edwards/Dlo would make kind of sense and I could totally see Rosas going for Simmons.

That's great news.
Ben, Edwards and KAT would make such an amazing trio. The fit of Ben - KAT is so much better than Ben and Embiid.
Getting Ben = 100% we make the playoffs, no doubt about that. This would be a winning move for sure.
I just hope Rosas is not dumb enough to not give away Dlo if necessary because of the banana crew narrative.

If it happens we need to move both Okogie and Culver too. We cannot afford to have anyone that isn't even an average shooter on the roster, to hell with whatever else they bring.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Seven)
If we do make a trade for Ben Simmons, do you think we’d be able to somehow include a sign & trade for Danny Green as well? We’d need to find a way to unload Jarrett Culver and/or Juancho Hernangomez as part of a three team trade, but it might be possible if it looked something like this…
MIN - Ben Simmons, Danny Green (S&T $12M)
PHI - Kyle Lowry (S&T $20M), Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, 2022 & 2025 FRPs (protected)
TOR - Ricky Rubio, Jarrett Culver, ???
Is that too unrealistic? Haven’t run it through the trade machine or anything but I imagine it’s pretty close to working out cap wise.

Both KAT and Turner are Centers. I don't like it fit wise and I am skeptical Turner can defend the 4 consistently even though he would be the best option to do so with that pairing. In other words you wouldn't be getting the most for your money.

I think it’s unrealistic. Philly will probably want to resign him. And if Green wants out, he’ll probably choose a championship level team for his last few seasons.
We’ll see how creative Morey/Rosas are if Doogie is right about Rosas wanting Simmons. It’s take Beasley to the 76ers with picks going elsewhere for win-now talent going to Philly. That is unless DLo is involved. The hosts to the Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast, probably the most popular team centric podcast out there (they started the process bit), love Beasley but not DLo. Meh.
Lastly, Rosas leaking his love for Simmons is exactly what someone would do to help out his old mentor (Morey), who is trying to rehab Simmons value. Even if Rosas wasn’t interested.

It wouldn't surprise me AT ALL given past is prologue many times, if the wolves are being used to drive up value of a player, maybe willingly this time. I however don't think Simmons has a large trade market, bedsides teams trying to "steal" him, which the wolves might be a part of, so maybe not? In many ways they could be trying to get MN to bid against itself.

Does it worry anyone how open the Wolves are? First with Russell, and now, apparently, Simmons.

If you’re asking if this is a price Rosas would do, I would say yes. Some fans here don’t want Ben.
As for the rest, you may know CHI fans better on this than me, but to me, McCollum seems too duplicative of LaVine for the Bulls. It sounds like most CHI fans like the idea of Rubio for Sato plus, and that CHI package may have more appeal to POR than Rubio does. The Blazers might just want to keep McCollum this year too, to keep fans loyal to the team after they traded Dame. And the Blazers might want to send Beasley to another team too, if they worry about the name “Jailblazers” returning.

I don't really care for Simmons,. but if I were to make an offer I would try two ways, 1. Rubio, Culver, Naz and a 1st. I would try and buy that 1st in a deal and wouldn't dig into our future picks, 2. same deal but with Naz traded for a 1st and filler also coming back to Philly. Could pump in a 2nd or two as well.
Then if Booker wants to join the party you have Beasley, McDaniels, Nowell, Bolmaro, Okogie and a ton of picks and swaps to make it happen.
That said, no real interest in Simmons unless it leads to Booker.
