In the past I've always thought the idea of an asterisk title was stupid and just a way for people to diminish the accomplishments of teams and players they don't like, but I think this season might really deserve one. What a disaster. I think we all expected this season to have more injuries than usual but this is totally insane.

It's only an asterisk if the Suns win, IMO. Any of the other three teams will have gone through enough adversity to say they've proven themselves as champions.

Really going hard with the Chris Paul hate huh? The Suns injuries haven't been any less severe than the Hawks have been at this point.

What a garbage season this has been. Really hoping it’s not a torn ACL for Giannis.

Even if it's not a torn ACL doubt we see him again this PS.

Probably the worst season ever, not even close. I was so excited at the beginning of playoffs and now I'm starting to lose interest at all...

Thankfully Euro is on excellent level.

On a sidenote, I hate how people on reddit keep saying bad FT shooters need to switch granny style because that's "statistically and scientifically superior"

Yet they never mention that while Wilt saw a one season bump when he switched, he eventually regressed into a sub-50% FT shooter again.
Yea,the granny shot really helped him in 1967 when he shot 44.1% in the RS and 38.8% in the PS.

I always thought he stopped shooting them that way afterwards which is what caused the regression.

Looks underhand to me.

When George T. Johnson shot overhand, he hovered around 50%. After working with Rick Barry he began shooting underhand and turned into a 70%+ shooter. He never experienced a decline in FT%.

After a lackluster regular season I was excited for the PO as well but the sail isn't up anymore.

Olympics and actually playing basketball can claim my free time.

If the Hawks manage to win it all, would they be the worst title winning team ever?

I still love the NBA and still find these playoffs extremely compelling. Sorry you guys don't. I hate guys getting hurt, but I don't hate it any more when its the superstars. To me all of this overcoming is part of the joy of sports. It reminds us the actual games matter something we lose sight of a lot around here.

Really going hard with the Chris Paul hate huh? The Suns injuries haven't been any less severe than the Hawks have been at this point.

The Clippers would have overcome three 0-2 deficits and a 1-3 deficit on top of being crushed by injuries worse than any other team.

The Bucks would have done it without Giannis or DiVincenzo. They also already bounced back from an 0-2 deficit and a 39-point loss to upset the Nets' superteam while showing a lot of mental toughness.

The Hawks were such a mess that they had to fire their coach in the middle of the season. Nobody expected them to get this far, especially without HCA in any series. Now their two best players (Trae and Hunter) are both out with injuries.

The Suns were saved from losing in the first round by AD's injury, then got to play a Nuggets team with no Murray and a depleted backcourt, and a Clippers team that is now down three starters (including our best player) and had a fourth starter limping through most of the series with a knee injury. Throughout all of this, they've been by far the luckiest team health-wise. Even with the overwhelming health advantage and HCA, they've looked unimpressive in the WCF.

It's not "Chris Paul hate," it's reality. If the Suns win, it's going to be viewed with a lot of skepticism because of how incredibly fortunate they've been in this entire playoff run.

I know that I might be not not objective, but even with their mediocre RS I think that this Bullets team was more talented than Atlanta - especially if Trae continues to miss games in playoffs.
