His teammate at Efes, Shane Larkin, may be of more use to the Bulls.

Larkin has had multiple opportunities in the NBA and hasn't been able to stick. He's a known commodity. Plus he's tiny. I'd rather take a chance on the bigger PG who hasn't had an opportunity in the NBA yet, but I don't Micic is the answer either, but he could be a decent backup like Sato but for half the price.

Given our "rumored interest", sounds like we couldn't reach a deal with Thunder or AK has other plans for starting PG.

Interesting. Sounded like he really wants to come over a while ago. But from what I'm reading, it seems like Efes offered him one of the better Euroleague contracts out there right now. That definitely sounds better than playing for the Thunder if the Thunder insisted on him playing for them

Not to be ruled out that his agent floated the supposed Bulls' interest which really didn't exist, to kickstart talks on his extension. Because if he was really interested in an NBA career he wouldn't have added 3 more Euro years without some easy way of getting out of that deal.

I don't think Efes is interested in the kind of deal where he can just leave for the NBA whenever he feels like it and mess up their Euroleague season. Like yeah, he's important for them, but they're one of the best teams non-NBA teams in the world. They have options.

To me it feels like the Thunder wanted him to come to OKC. I completely understand why he wouldn't be interested in that.

From the video I would say he seems at the level of a mid 1st round pick, 13 to 23 range. Except that he's older.

Maybe a better comp would be Fabricio Oberto. He came over as an older player to the Spurs after extensive international experience, and was a rotation player for a few championship teams in the NBA.

Negatives:

His handle seems a little loose.
He's a high dribbler.
Didn't seem to have a good stop-and-start move.
Didn't seem to have good change of direction

Positives:

I noticed that he has long wingspan. At the very least, he would not be at a disadvantage like Coby White.
Plays with passion and high motor
Has a good first step
Reads defenders well

He can't just leave Efes "whenever he feels like it", but he does have opt-outs for each of the next 2 summers. So he can still easily come to the NBA in 2022-23.

Vasilije Micic has signed a three-year extension with Anadolu Efes, though the deal has NBA outs for each of the next two summers.

Yeah, that makes sense. Re-evaluating the situation after each season is good for him and gives Efes the chance to replace him during an offseason. But they weren’t going to accept any "leave as soon as the offer comes" type of deals.

Might have been as simple as not promising him a starting job. Ah well it would have been nice to add some talent but its not make or break.
