I’d expect wolves FO to be willing to trade Antman for Ben. But I doubt Morey and Doc would go hard for Antman. I’d expect both of them to try to get Dame.

Personally, I’m OK with pick of pick swap, Rubio and Antman for Ben.

I agree this makes sense. I think MIN fans would choke at the thought of having to move edwards.
Honestly, I'd rather keep edwards then beal. Granted Beal is the better player now... which is what we want. But the idea of a bigger tougher SG long term in edwards is just more appealing. Beal is due for an injury stretch if his history holds true. We couldn't survive that with the fact that Embiid will also be missing some games.

Interesting trade and i think us and Washington would do it 100% but dont know if Minny would want to move Edwards, kid has a ton of potential and is under control for many years at a low cost, wich both are huge factors for a franchise like them.

This is very true. I think the thing that maybe a GM will weigh more than us casuals (maybe not!) is that they were still 15 games outside of 8th seed. That's pretty bad. To trade that one upside young guy to be in the playoffs with simmons is pretty huge imo.

This is also a good trade. But like what Foshan said, I’d also prefer Edwards but I do understand if the team opts for Beal

I can see the Wolves not willing to hand Edwards for Ben straight up. But I think we can tweak the deal and add more sweeteners to get it done.

And if that wont get it done, I’d explore trading for either Cade or Green (#1 or #2 in the draft).

Call the rockets and trade them Ben for John Wall and #2?

If one of them slips to #3, then Love and #3 for Ben?

The most promising scenario for us is a 3 team deal for Dame:

GS out : Wiseman, picks
GS in: Simmons

PHI out: Simmons, Maxey, picks
PHI in: Lillard

POR out: Lillard
POR in: Wiseman, Maxey, multiple picks

Out best chance to get a superstar is Dame wanting out and make a 3 team deal of this nature. If Dame wants out Portland is probably rebuilding, they gonna ask for young prospects and picks.

Hate to give-up Maxey, but if thats what it takes then I’ll do it.

I like the idea of starting both Maxey and Dame. Then have Seth and Shake or some guard who’s better off the bench.

Has there been much reporting since Billups was hired? I believe Dame was unhappy with the search but they ended up with one of the two guys they suggested. I think, considering that he turns 31 this month, he realizes it’s time for a change of scenery. Garnett was very loyal to the Wolves, but at around the same age he realized he had to move to another organization for a chance at a title. Nevertheless, I think without him demanding a trade, he probably doesn’t get moved.

I’d try my best to give Shake instead of Maxey, but if push came to shove, I’d do it.

Wiggins (or Draymond, but unlikely) would have to go to Portland as well. Wiggins + Wiseman + Milton + #7 + #14 + 2023 & 2027 PHI FRPs seems close IF Dame asks out.

All this talk about not trading Maxey. Then just go ahead and PLAY Maxey and let him be a big part of the solution.

Maxey is the only very talented young player that we have on the roster and perhaps our only avenue of internal development, this is why I dislike the idea of trading him if we don't really have to.

https://www.realestate.com.au/news/ben-simmons-drops-23-million-on-new-mansion-in-las-hidden-hills/

He going to be working on his game in LA where he really wants to be. Hopefully he gets traded to that **** in Portland instead.

The 24-year-old Australian basketball superstar is now the new owner of a $23.3 million (US$17.5 million) mansion set deep inside the gated Hidden Hills suburb located in Los Angeles

The Hidden Hills area is famous for its new influx of celebrity money in the recent years — with residents now including professional athletes and hip-hop musicians like Drake, Lil Wayne, Dwyane Wade — as well as almost all the Kardashian family.

Rockets will hang on to wall for one more season. He will have more value being trade exception number in his last year of contract (47 million 2022-2023). Rockets tanking this season always.

Part of reasons bad/mediocre teams don’t want Simmons is because he contributes to wins. And they really don’t want to win that many games. Contenders wants Simmons. But don’t want to give up their best player. Really don’t want to give up their second best player (unless the have replacement for their second best player waiting in the wings)

Portland would give up CJ in a heartbeat (assuming norm powell resigns). Norm does basically everything CJ does and has a higher motor.

Simmons, Harris, and 2023 1st to TOR
Siakam, VanVleet, and Hood to PHI

Sixers then have to find a wing. Terrance Ross?

Change that deal so we get Gary Trent back instead of Hood, and add Shake. No super stars, but Fred is still improving, and Pascal can too, although he was a little meah last year. Kind of similar to Tobi in some ways.
