That happened only after Heat, Lakers, Hawks and Knicks complained to the NBA about the situation.

having lots of nice solid players but no real stars that can take over on both sides is going to make what happened in this series an annual thing if they dont
This is what I was talking about in my previous post. People who don't even know anything about the Hawks with comments like this. Our second best player didn't even play in the series. Deandre Hunter was extremely good on both ends of the court this season. We have him and Cam healthy in this series we are going to the Finals regardless of the injuries to Giannis and Trae.
All we need is to be healthy for the playoffs and bring back Collins.
I don't buy into the "well look at the Hawks, that's a moral victory". That's not how sports works. You either win a championship or you are a loser. That's it. You either win the ring or you get nothing. The Hawks had a chance to get the ring and lost. Regardless of whoever wins the Finals the team that doesn't win is still a loser just like the Hawks are now. They had a chance despite the injuries and horrible officiating and blew it. There's no moral victory champions in sports.
i dont know anything about the hawks? i just watched this 9 deep role playing ass for two months straight not to mention 40 years of watching the nba to whatever your talking about. you need to understand its me educating you about your team not the other way around with a comment like that.
so here are the facts. .....outside of game 1 when bud insisted dropping lopez under the basket and we gifted trae 50 this wasnt even a series. did you hear me? this wasnt a series. we busted your ass once lopez didnt play that stupid crap and won 4 out of 5 pretty damn easy.... and even once lopez started full switching then even without giannis we just flat busted your ass the last two games were really blowouts.....hell up 20 first half they were blowouts what else do you need to see? we literally never trailed. it was relaxation watching for me
honestly getting beat in your own gym last night.... your crowd silent and yawning in a closeout game was pretty pathetic. it was disappointing im sure for you but you just waaaay overrate what you have down there for this kind of stage in the ECF. maybe hunter or reddish can become something good but its really your last shot. everybody else on that roster i think we all know they are what they are. you a team full of really nice solid roleplayers.
so i repeat. YOU NEED TO CONSOLIDATE TALENT. there was a reason jrue, khris, and lopez and some scrubs handed all those nice atlanta players their ass the last two games. its because they were the best 3 players on the court the last two nights and all those NON STARS in atlanta just didnt have anything for them

let me educate YOU. You guys were losing game three until that ref intentionally didn't move out of Trae's way and got him hurt. We win that game easy if that doesn't happen. Trae lit your defense up like a Christmas tree when he wasn't hurt. So don't give me the Lopez excuse. Jrue couldn't do anything with Trae neither could your team. It literally took someone injuring Trae to knock him out of the end of game three, keep him out of game 4 and 5 and he came back at not even 50% of himself in game six.
That's without Hunter playing A SECOND in the series. I've watched the Hawks since 1979. We don't need to consolidate talent. We already HAVE the talent. Go back and watch what Deandre Hunter did in the regular season this year, only his second year in the league, and get back to me. If he's healthy we put him on Middleton and he doesn't do anything. There's a reason Hunter carried his team to a NCAA championship. He's an excellent two way player that unfortunately got hurt in the playoffs.
You put a truly healthy Hawks team on the court versus a truly healthy Bucks team on the court and we beat you guys in five games. Hell, I'd honestly call it a sweep because there's no one on your team that can guard Trae let alone Hunter or Reddish. Your team got lucky as hell that the Nets star players got hurt except for Durant. Then your team got lucky as hell that a Hawks team missing its two best players for either the whole series or 3 games in the series.
The only reason you got by us was luck and horrible officiating. The Hawks had the best record in the NBA once Nate took over as coach. That means they had a better record than YOUR TEAM. So no, we don't need to do anything except bring back Collins and stay healthy in the playoffs.

atlanta was down 20 in 4 out of the last 5 games. the reason we got by you is because despite not even having giannis youre just not all that good.
you need a couple 3-1 deals to bring some stars in around that fugazi star you already have. you also need to tighten up that buttercup defense you all play and then maybe youll have something.

Are you not capable of reading? The Hawks had the BEST RECORD in the NBA since Nate took over as coach. We beat a higher seed every round of the playoffs until injuries and refs finally derailed the season. Saying the Hawks are "just not all that good" is laughable. You need to go watch another sport for 40 years if you think a team that made it to the conference finals in their first season with their young core is "not all that good."

the bucks had the best record in the league over a three year span. no buddy cares bro
the last good team in atlanta was built almost exactly like this one. good coach. good roleplayers. good regular season.
need to consolidate some talent or what happened the last couple weeks will be the norm in the playoffs my man

I did some research and the timeline goes like this:
4 days before the trades can start, the bucks announce a trade for bogdan with Sac.
3 days before trade can start the NBA sends a memo to teams to remind them not to tamper before trade deadline after the Hawks file a formal complaint.
2 days before trade can start Bogdan tweets he never agreed to a sign and trade with the Bucks.
after trading starts, Hawks and bogdan agree to a contract.
NBA fines the Bucks 10 million for tampering.
lakers, Heat, and Knicks were not involved.

collins is a stat machine youre gonna have to pay alot for the stats but doesnt really help you win representatively. hes a tough situation. if you pay him you lose alot of flexibility. if he walks you regress and on a max you regress. tough situation. we had a similar one when we had jabari
heurter is a nice 4th- 5th starter but will lose alot of value once he gets paid
bogdonovich is a nice player but runs hot and cold and cant defend a chair which is going to be an issue in the playoffs for years to come.
capella is eventually gone for the rookie. you wont be able to afford a center above that level. pretty average dudes the both of them.
gallinari is on his way out.
williams is on his way out.
this all comes down to reddish who up until the last couple weeks has looked like a bum.... and hunter who may be the best player on your roster.
to me i think you put a package together with some picks/reddish/heurter or bogs..... and maybe go get a guy. a real guy.
if you dont this may be the peak of your team. thats what it feels like to me. next year you arent going to beat a better team like you did in philly. i think the ceiling here is 2nd round year after year

If our players and team accept that "just getting there" is good enough then that's the real issue. Look at every championship team and the key players on it. They all said essentially the same thing I did. There's only one team each year that finishes with a winning record. If that's not your team then your team didn't do enough.
When the #8 Hawks took the #1 Celtics to seven games we heard all this before. Look at the Hawks, wow what a moral victory! They will definitely be a champion soon!
And...none of that happened. It didn't even come close to happening.
I am proud of this team for this season. Don't get me wrong. But this can't be the bar they set for themselves. So yes, as much as some people might not like to hear this only ONE TEAM at the end of a season is the champion. Only one team can say they had a good season. Anything else is just losing.
I had that mindset before I played division 3 basketball and still have it now. Anything less than that as a player or coach is settling for mediocrity. They don't give out rings for moral victories or mediocrity. I appreciate your kind words but there is no "grats" to be given out for losing. You either win a championship or you were a loser. There's no participation trophy champion.
