If I look at it from Olshey's POV, I believe him when he says there was an investigation by the Blazers, but I also think it was an investigation to make certain the alleged incident is tightly sealed.

I admit, I wasn't familiar with the '97 allegations either, but I did a simple google search and was pretty disgusted with what I had learned. I'm not saying he's guilty or innocent, because he was never judged... but it is my understanding that he payed the victim (please correct me if I'm wrong), and I just can't picture myself paying a single dollar to a person that attacks MY character. If I were innocent of the accusations, and I had the money, I'd be counter-suing, not paying the victim.

I have an issue with Olshey and Dame, for either being too stupid to not doing what I did, a google search, Or, they knew about the allegations and were still OK with endorsing Chauncy (and Kidd in Dame's case). I myself would never associate with such people, and would never champion for one.

I firmly believe the Blazers are going to start crumbling soon.

Cant believe we gave a rookie coach a longer deal than the dude who just took a 5th seed to the ECF. Olshey really hooks his buddies up with that Allen money

It's not many teams were beating down the doors to hire Nate.

Likely none of us will ever know just what happened in 1997 but that's 24 years ago and there are lots
of examples of young guys like Billips who may have been done some bad things but turned his life
around. Former Duck Terrell Brandon seems to have helped the young Billips in Minnesota prior to
his becoming the player he was in Detroit and I really wonder with Billips on board, if Terrell Brandon
still wants a job with an NBA team, it will be with Portland in some capacity.
