This upcoming season will be coach K's last. Jon Scheyer will take over after that.

7'1 Tomislav Ivišić is definitely firs round prospect. Offensive big man who can score, pas and shoot. He also has 7'2 twin brother who is same level prospect, but has injury problems

Juzang returning...don't think this is a great idea, gonna be tough to gain the same momentum he got after last season's tourney but we'll see

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
Damn what have they been feeding Banchero? Gotta give Chet some of that lol.
He looks like a bigger Cade. Humugous is an understatement.
Sure he’s a high school kid? Nah fam that’s a grown ass man legit no baby man size growing into the body either.
I mean really he could play in the league right now just on size alone.

Easily looks better than Chet IMO. With Chet you're hoping a lot on potential and getting anything on his frame. But Chet flashes shot creation/making and defense.

Can't be Chet size and still play dual threat QB so he adds the mass as needed. I love me some Banch.

Why is Abmas going back to Oral Roberts? Seems silly. He should transfer to a bigger program like Obannor.

It’s why it’s ridiculous that he wasn’t already in a pro environment playing against grown men as a junior.
We as a country are going to get passed by in creating most of the future MVP candidates by those developed in Euroleague (Luka, Giannis). It’s a huge advantage that Luka was playing pro at 15. We are already pivoting to this model in soccer to become competitive in that sport and now we should do it in basketball to maintain our dominance.
Guys like Banchero, Hardy, Chet, Emoni, etc shouldn’t be wasting time just because it’s an American cultural thing to do so.

American soccer prospects aren't getting better because they are playing pro at a younger age but because they are growing up in the youth development programs of multi million dollar worth clubs instead of random high schools. They are already good enough at 17 to play pro because of that. They are not getting better because they are playing pro. So it's the other way around.
The main development stage for players is up to the age of 16. After that it won't make much of a difference. A 17 year old kid playing in the NBA will still have spent the most important years of his developmental years at high schools and wouldn't be much better than if he went to College. To change that you'd need to overhaul the whole youth infrastructure like US soccer did.
The US has started to produce incredible talents as soon as they ditched the Highschool -> college route for the European way of professional youth teams.
If you have the best coaches, the best environment from the age of 8 of course you're gonna be better than if you just went to a random high school coached by some fat dad.

I disagree. Luka, Jokic and Giannis are anomalies. The latter two especially. The only Euros who are thriving in the NBA are oversized wings and bigs. After those three, there is a huge dropoff in talent.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
For now Chuck
European style is always the best for me in terms of pathway development. Not NBA but the sport I’ve played all my life. Kids play at the highest level they can possibly hold.
Means to say players play at their skill level.
Imagine Banchero practicing with the Lakers Organization for 2 years off-season/pre season. Basically practicing with the best players in the world. G league/bench squad even involved with the first team in practice. Academies do that across the world ona number of different elite team sports.
Sachin by 16 had two years legit playing with the best in his sport. If you’re that good you’re that good don’t hold it up let them go the talent they have they’ll be fine.
It’s like this kid is something it’s gradual but go to higher levels. High school they all are so hugely dominate some or more then a few don’t actually upskill.
It’s great some of them are seeking out pros. It’s should be full time pro environments a lot earlier imo.
For the USA the Majors have it so perfect. If the NBA emulates that legit no play around domestic leagues. Watch out the heck out!

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
The special ones to me are Kevin Durant, Luka and Irving and Kobe to me. Means some people had questions about the physical stuff but their skill threshold is so high they were fine so damn early.
Now the Parkers, Beasley’s or Odens could play just on their man size no baby growing to do, they would be okay some would get found out or even better in an earlier Pro program. It would be like nope this is how you play that young stuff doesn’t cut it.
Best example is Ingram rookie year subtract that rookie season for a full year training under NBA pro academic pathways then he would have gone into the rookie season a ton better.
The polish on elite development talented youngsters is incredible across the world. By the time they are 18 as players have said about Luka. They’ve seen and played and played well in “real” for a better term situations/pressure etc.
I mean Mbappe or any really highly touted soccer player had Luka type resumes. They were so real things much earlier.
Nadal at 17 the whole tennis community knew he was going to be very special. In fact it was Safin, Nadal/Fed then Hewitt. Fed came into his own actually late in comparison on winning his maiden slam to the big three then went on a tear 2005-2010. They were all so very great so early.
Most of the talent is in the US but that’s not what I’m getting at. It’s the development it’s 2021 now. I want every highly rated prospect to be as developed and ready as possible before going to the big smoke. I wonder how many lotto picks would have been better just on that. 3 months from College to NBA ain’t going to cut it to me.
