If anyone has too much time on their hands...

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

NBA mock drafts all over the place still. This one was just updated today.

https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/

Not appearing on their board: Josh Preston and Aaron Henry. Both should be there IMO. One mock has us taking Aaron Henry.

Kessler Edwards would be my choice at 45 if he was still there.

Big Mamu has an interesting skill set. Not appearing on NBADraftNet's latest mock. I find that curious as his ball handling and passing are not typically seen in bigs of his size. It will be interesting to see where he lands. Roko, Day'ron Sharpe, and Herbert Jones are listed at picks 50, 51, and 52. Maybe they will be available come draft day. :)

So difficult to do that right now because like you said who knows where so many guys are going to go.

Like Greg Brown. First Round? Early Second Round? Late Second Round?

yes but you can always do one now and another a few days away when it may be a little clearer.

I remember one of the first HS kids I ever trained started getting some interest from a low level D1 school. he refused to consider them and told them that, because he wanted a high major offer. this was during his senior year. By the years end even that one school didn't want him.. he ended up getting 1 partial scholarship offer from a low D2 team.

Point being, I hope I Todd has some really good advice going for him.. A mistake on this level can cost him millions.

Yeah I could see him sneak into the first,, but lottery seems nuts (Todd).

I always wonder with sites like nbadraft.net, do they have real intel and team connections? Or did a guy like us just get a great domain name and his updated mock is based on him watching more scouting videos and reading media reports available to everyone?

Curious how much real info it's based on versus educated guesses.

Anyway interesting for me that Vrenz is higher than Roko now. I like Vrenz more as being a potential unicorn type guy with rare skills at his size, but Roko seems more safe. If Kessler Edwards stock is really sinking, I'd love to buy a pick and get him I'm addition to one of the risky super high upside guys at 45 (Thor, Vrenz, Moses Wright, Onu, Maker, etc). Thor is more consistently showing up in the 30s and 40s in these mocks.

Even if we don't buy/trade for a 2nd pick there will be good guys to be had in UDFA. I really really hope we move on from Tacko and probably Waters too and sign some fresh young blood with upside to get some seasoning the dleague on those 2 ways. Those guys were fine, but at this point, if they can't contribute to the big club, then it's time to give someone else a chance. Fingers crossed *Moses Wright*.

I think this is the rare draft though where we can go into it with just pick 45 and come out with a solid immediate contributer and a high upside flyer.

Dalano Banton?

6'9" PG

Not a ton of tape on him but he looks like a legit PG. His stats are less than stellar but I really like his game.

Decent little tape, never heard of him, nor seen him on any mocks. Is he likely to get drafted?

My man big mamu feels like a young dirk without the shooting  he’s so raw. Is there any source for his stats available ?

I've heard he might go 2nd round, and if not could be a solid UDFA pickup..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Hoping that Brad invites Maker, Aldama and Moses Wright in for a workout..

Banton looks intriguing those first couple plays, as a guy who's long, athletic, can handle the ball and is quick off the dribble. I'll have to check him out a little more..

in 3 highlight videos I couldn't find Banton taking a single outside attempt. :o Have no idea what his jumper looks like. he plays the right way and is long.. makes passes well. Looks more north and south athletic, despite length has no ups what so ever.

Can he be effective anywhere other than from up top?? Never see him anywhere else. Don't see him as a NBA PG, but maybe a point forward? But if he has to e a forward he would e required to catch and shoot. Don't think there is anything that indicates he can do that.

Looks too stiff.

Definitely worth a further look by Boston and maybe any other year a good gamble at 45, but not this year.

But what do I know.. Isaiah Todd may go lottery so who knows??

Banton was a 24.7% shooter from 3 on 4.4 attempts a game, yikes..

Then again, if he could shoot he'd probably go way before 45th pick lol
