He's fine. Partially torn is 3-6 months

This goes back to what I was saying - get him back around All-Star break, build him up and get him ready for the playoffs.

I think we'll make enough adjustments to still be a playoff team even if Kawhi was out for more than half the season. You'd then be praying that he's healthy and in rhythm enough to be a substantial difference maker in the playoffs. You can bet that no team would want a piece of us in the first round, that's for sure.

It's still a massive long shot, but who knows. It's the kind of gamble we probably have to take if presented the opportunity.

Breh this is Kawhi we're talking about. The typical 9 months cited would have him returning to games in mid April (and even later to return to preinjury level), assuming the NBA returns to a normal schedule that's the 1st round. But Kawhi being Kawhi, I'd be surprised if he'd risk another setback so late in the NBA calendar by returning for the 2022 playoffs

Then there's the question of whether we'd want to be paying this guy an obscene salary well into his mid-30s when there's a very strong likelihood that his degenerative injury issues only get worse from here. He'll be a post-ACL reconstruction 31yo by this time next year...

Yeah, that's the other side of the coin. A risk, absolutely.

As you said though, this is Kawhi we're talking about. I'm biased, he's one of my fav non-Heat players, but I'd roll the dice.

Of course, Joe Ingles, of all peoples, wrecked our Kawhi's already fragile NBA career with his drunk ass Aussie shove on a fastbreak.

I have a feeling that Kawhi will follow the similar path to T-Mac, Penny, Amare and so forth. They never had a definitive career ending injury, but they never got healthy and gradually waned into the oblivion.

Whoever gives him a max, and it's most probably the Clippers, will regret the decision, but it's still worth trying just because

I feel like TMac, Penny, Amare, Grant Hill etc all had something chronic and degenerative though. Kawhi's seem to mostly have been incidental (albeit I don't know much about his quad injury...), more like KD's fractured metatarsal and torn achilles IMO.

Crowder been very good tonight.

He's a terrific role player, and in hindsight it would've been nice to keep him, but at the time Giannis was still a very real possibility. Sometimes there's an opportunity cost associated with chasing stars, and Jae was it.

Ironic that it could be the Bucks that get bounced, partly due to Crowder being on the opposite team.

Might not have been the Teams we wanted but a good finals so far; Suns should be embarrassed

Enough of the CP3 apologists. When the pressure is really high, CP3 tends to do this.

If Suns go to loose this series its because of this game. And they lost this game because CP3

CP3 10 pts 5 TO. He was bad last game as well, we know he paded his stats in the end. What an absolutely pathetic performance from him. He let Booker down. And time we gave Booker his respect. He's the suns best player and the no 1 reason they're in the finals

How no one showing up to a finals game other then 1 player on the team? They deserved to lose this. Game 5 is a game all the pressure on the Suns. CP will chock this I bet
