The 1979 Seattle SuperSonics?

Im curious on why that Heat. They have Wade and a pretty dominant Shaq.

Shaq was no longer that player in ‘06.

Shaq made a huge comeback that year. His last couple of years he played like crap on the Lakers. When traded, he decided to start taking care of himself again. him and Wade were a force to be reckoned with. While I am not saying that these Bucks wouldn't be able to beat them, I would give the edge to heat.

EDIT: Except on GB.

They almost beat us (7 gms) the next season in the NBA Finals. And almost got back to the NBA Finals a few more times after that. That 2000s era Pistons team was very tuff.

Huh? In the finals alone:
KD, Westbrook & Durant
Duncan & Kawhi
Curry & Klay
Butler (weakest one)

Nah 19 Raptors would edge 21 Bucks
We had:
-Kawhi "'The adjustment is that I'm guarding Giannis" Leonard
-Lowry
-FVV
-Siakim
-Marc Gasol

Bucks had Brogdon instead of Bledsoe and had a 2-0 over us and we beat em 4 games straight.

04 Pistons would sweep them... sheed on Giannis with help side from Big Ben. They had great interior defense. Teams that would loose to these Bucks would be teams that couldn't slow down Giannis inside.

if we struggled with the hawks and suns then what did the 2019 raptors do with the 2019 bucks. our 2021 team is better than our 2019 team and our 2019 team lost in 6 games with a miniscule 4 point margin separating a 6 game series. that series was as close!! alot closer than our series with the hawks and suns were.

nobody is "wrecking" anybody with this two teams. it would be a good series and could go either way

It's a fact that the Bucks struggled to beat the Hawks, the Nets sans Harden/Irving and struggled against the Suns. The Raptors beat the Embiid/Simmons/Butler Sixers as well as the 60 win Giannis Bucks and then played the Curry Warriors. The Raptors unquestionably had one of the most difficult paths to the title in modern history.
The Bucks had a very fortuitous path to victory.

If those teams were to matchup, the Raps would end the Bucks in 5 maybe 6

I can't really select any team considering the era's of basketball are so drastically different. I mean take the 2011 Mavs. You'd find Tyson Chandler wouldnt be as effective having to switch in today's modern game.

I'm sorry but it's just too difficult to play these fantasy matchups when the game today is so different compared to what it was only a decade or so back let alone 20 years ago.

The reasons given why championship teams from the past would lose to the '21 Bucks are mostly utterly ridiculous lol.

Acting like those past NBA Champs and coaches in particular would just be so dumbfounded by "today's modern game" and rules and couldn't adjust is funny as hell.

Why does 03 Spurs have 3%? I’d back the Bucks everyday of the week. I must be missing something

Talk about an easier finals. Also this isn’t peak Manu as well as young baby Parker and OLD DRob.

03 Spurs
04 Pistons
11 Mavs
06 Heat

Lol Raptors at 25+ %. That team was great no doubt about it.

Bucks are favorites to me in these matchups.

Lowry
Leonard
Green
Siakam
Gasol
Ibaka
Vanvleet

7 deep of starter or higher quality with most having two way capability. Raptors 19’ were great no doubt about it.

It's mainly Bucks fans voting Raptors trying to convince themselves that their 2021 version is better than their 2019 version. The telling stat is that a large majority feel they wouldn't beat any past champions.

Alternatively, the Raptors got taken to 6 by an inferior Bucks team. What makes you think they'd handle a stronger Bucks team more easily than they did 2 years ago?

Maybe 06 Heat because they don't have anyone to matchup defensively.

Who the hell is voting the Raptors though? They already shut them down. It's literally the only team on that list where you don't have to imagine a scenario of them beating the Bucks

He was obviously still very good but it's misleading to say he was "pretty dominant" in '06.

Yep, because Giannis and Middleton were exactly the same players as they were 2 years ago, with no improvement whatsoever. And Holiday wasn't an upgrade over Bledsoe at all.

I'm not sure you understand what a majority is, but in this poll the majority of people have voted that they would beat a past champion.
