I think there was a best available white guy era. I think it is past and I'm not going to name a villain.

Yup. I've come to the position that if a draftee is going to earn minutes as a rookie, he'll have to be a defensive stopper. Mitchell is that. Who else? Garuba? Not sure about Moody? That said, I have no problem taking a wing who will be stuck behind Lamb for one year.Pacers Forever wrote:I’m good with him but he might be gone before our pick

The Pacers, at 13, have also shopped their pick, looking for veteran help.

or Reddish and Cooper. I'd add Mitchell to the names I'd be upset missing out on at 13 but Reddish would take Doug's minutes. Cooper or Mitchell would rekindle the trade Aaron threads.
Tom White wrote:Reddish got hot from 3pt in the playoffs, but other than that? His career numbers are 44% from 2pt, and 31% from 3pt range. That isn't impressive. But, I don't know how he is on defense. Anyone have an opinion about that? Unless he is a lockdown defender, I think we can see why Atlanta wants to move him.
Scoot McGroot wrote:Good question. He definitely hasn’t played to his draft projection yet, but he’s still only 21 years old. And, that poor play is the only reason he’s even possibly available.
Otherwise, Atlanta has hit on other wing drafting (Hunter and Huerter) and signings (Bogdan Bogdanovic), so it’s hard to see Reddish ascend more than the 4th wing.
He’s long, and a good defender, though. Lockdown? Not yet, but he’s good there.
