Look through to the sources. Obviously you are in the mainstream media matrix, so other perspectives and info look off to you. The sources from Israel and the UK and what the CDC has stated re: different testing protocols for those who are "vaccinated" vs. those who are not are all publicly available, with links provided from this article.

Lol, no. You are way too smart for that Clover.

I am too smart for what you accuse me of. NN does indeed go over the edge at times and I don't buy into all of it all--as I don't for pretty much any mainstream or alternative news source I can think of.

But I also realize that "fact checkers" are pretty much universally bogus on their own. Setting up strawmen to knock down rather than dealing with the real and documented counter narratives that far too many have been zombified with, starting by watching "the news" in on the intentionally alpha state-inducing TV news.

You, unfortunately, are the one deluded.

Yeah, I'm not a mainstream media guy at all, I like my news delivered without telling me how I should feel about it. I like Reuters, consistently ranked as being highly accurate and unbiased. Being non-deluded isn't panning through a river as dirty as NN for some flecks of truth, it's realizing that you can't post a story from it and expect to be taken seriously regardless of the individual story. It's like relaying a rumor told to you by a guy who only lies about 80% of the time, sure there's a chance this one's true but no one's wasting their time tracking it down to find out if this one is accurate when it's pretty safe to disregard it out of hand. You might as well post some links from NationalEnquirer.com then tell me how deluded I am when I roll my eyes. "Yeah, I know that bat-boy story was bogus but this theory about Hillary Clinton drinking the blood of children really resonates with me so it must be true. Go ahead and laugh sheeple."

Bad Thoma - do not even bother responding to this farcically inane National Enquirer level garbage. Stick to what responsible authorities & sources like Drs. Wen, Osterholm & Fauci are espousing and/or publishing w peer review. Anyone not getting vax now is hopelessly misinformed and/or selfish beyond description and/or dumber than a **** rock. They are perpetuating the pandemic much to their own detriment & also to the detriment of the rest of society. They truly disgust me & should be denied access to hospitals as employees, large gatherings for any reason & most businesses. Once again, I READ THE ORIGINAL SOURCE LITERATURE EVERY SINGLE DAY & I am beyond light years more informed than anyone posting in this thread. Take it or leave it. I speak the truth. Ironically, as a well right of center Republican conservative, i still viscerally abhor most of the dangerous & delusional policies of left wingers as very appropriately critiqued by Fox News. BUT BUT BUT, as a lifelong caring & dedicated physician who has devoted myself to maximal excellence in the delivery of care & the teaching of the generations to come, when it comes to Covid, I 1000% support what u hear on the MSM & I am appalled by the life threatening disinformation spewed by Fox News. Quite a dilemma.

I'd love to know why we have a Coronavirus Thread at all. All this does is create a divide between us. This needs to be locked. There's no reason to have this Thread on this Celtics board. NONE. I vote for this Thread to be locked immediately. If anyone on here wants to discuss Covid beyond a player missing time for League Safety Protocols, they can take it offline.
To me it makes zero sense to create a divide between us. We are all here for 1 reason and 1 reason only. To discuss Celtics & NBA basketball. This isn't a medical board. I don't need to know what everyone's opinions are.....Even I fell into the trap of participating in this Thread....Again... LOCK IT/DELETE IT

I think there are a lot of intelligent posters here and I enjoy hearing their opinions on off topics. However, I don’t disagree with you regarding this thread. Even if it wasn’t locked, I bet if this thread was “unsticked” it would probably die a natural death.

if we're going to make this a medical board, I'd like to start a Thread on the seasonal Flu.....which seems to have vanished by the way. I'd also like a Thread on STD's. Perhaps Cancer too.

On the bolded.

Fox News has always been that way. As you proclaim to be a center to right Republican/conservative, this should probably be making you question all the other crap they have been feeding their audience. It should be eye opening. Fox News has never cared for facts on ANY TOPIC. They rarely if ever appropriately critique anything and only care to be the opposite regardless of logic.

As I said, Fox on Covid is beyond horrific & it disgusts me.
My other very strongly held right of center views & core values were not influenced in the **** slightest by Fox.
This is not the place to discuss.

Back on Covid.
We remain in very very deep **** regarding Covid because of the selfish, irresponsible & amazingly ignorant unvaccinated.
And there will be variants even more lethal & transmissible than Delta in our future if the unvaccinated and often unmasked morons amongst us continue their putrid behaviors,
A third Pfizer & Modena boost will be recommended soon - especially for the elderly & the immunocompromised.

All of this could have been prevented. SMMFH.

Here is a completely APOLITICAL final word from me.

As you know, I have periodically posted links & excerpts from the very best medical Covid literature out there. Multiple posters have appreciated that I have taken the time to occasionally do this.

I have no problem whatsoever not posting anything further about Covid.

It is ironic, however, that, after almost 200 pages over 18 months, this thread will end just as Covid is resurging. LOLOL.

And MEDICALLY FACTUALLY speaking ONLY, as sure as the sun rises in the East, it is surging because ~80 million of the ~275 million Americans over 18 years of age are unvaccinated, a huge percentage of the unvaccinated are not masking or distancing, & the evil delta variant has become predominant.

If this group does not change their selfish and/or ignorant and/or simply uninformed behaviors, sadly & tragically, there is a reasonable likelihood that we will see 100,000+ cases per day once again in the USA followed by serious increases in hospitalizations & deaths. This will especially impact the unvaccinated - but more & more & more breakthrough cases will occur in the fully vaccinated as well (who will also start to transmit the virus again even if asymptomatic) - consequent to the BEYOND HUGE viral loads associated with the delta variant.

In addition, as a consequence, MEDICALLY FACTUALLY speaking ONLY, at least tens of millions of elderly & immunocompromised patients will require a third Pfizer or Moderna booster soon.

Furthermore, as a consequence, MEDICALLY FACTUALLY speaking ONLY, this surge of viral transmission/replication will result in variants MORE transmissible & lethal than delta sooner rather than later.

None of this is ‘ridiculous’ in the slightest.
This is not a thread about the common cold or well known & longstanding killer diseases in our society.
This thread is about a once in a mother **** lifetime pandemic which has ravaged & continues to ravage the USA & the world.
This is **** reality.
I know that some of our posters will appreciate this information.
To those that think they know better, good **** luck out there. You will need it. I hope Darwin does not take a bite out of your ass.

DONE.

Thanks.

I am very busy.

I have been putting my occasional Covid posts & links in THIS particular thread on OUR Board as a favor to a group of non-medical but thoughtful & bright people - who I know appreciate my insight & expertise.
Unfortunately, we have a few others who have no medical insight whatsoever - ZERO!

If someone here asks me a question, I will answer if I am not busy.

The 2 links I inserted in my last post above are a big **** deal. I suggest carefully reading them.

if we're going to make this a medical board, I'd like to start a Thread on the seasonal Flu.....which seems to have vanished by the way. I'd also like a Thread on STD's. Perhaps Cancer too.

If you don't like the thread or it's contents then don't **** read it or post in it, how hard is that. I for one do appreciate the insight that Ex brings, despite his questionable political leanings (that's not getting political, that's poking fun at a friend you **** babies), and also appreciate the insights of many other posters. There's also many posters that I don't agree with that I don't mind debating a bit as I respect them as well, it's usually pointless but also harmless.

Be a covid denier all you want but don't be a b*t*h about other people talking about it, despite it being politicized it's not a political issue, it's an OT health issue in a thread that keeps the subject out of all the other threads despite it being a prevalent issue that affects basketball and almost everything else. You want to bury your head in the sand about the risks of covid no one can stop you, just do us a favor and bury your head in the sand about this thread existing as well.

I will say, you have helped me our for many years for various things prior to Covid, even if I have to have my wife translate things to me, haha. And for that, much thanks. And for almost 20 years, I have looked to this forum for all kinds of stuff, hence the amount of time I've been here.

Thanks my man. Much appreciated.

Too bad our age difference & geography have prevented us from shooting some hoops together over the years.
I can still shoot (sometimes, never 3 point range at my best, LOL), but my mobility has seriously deteriorated due to the articular damage & orthopedic injuries I have sustained consequent to age & innumerable hours playing high impact hoops & football. LOL. Sounds like you used to be a real baller.

Haha, yep. USED is the key word. I actually just started shooting around the last few days for the first time really in 10 years.Talk about muscle memory being lost. It's a work in progress, but it's happening. But like you, my body is crushed from playing so many years with my idol being Bird. Add soccer and tennis and I'm cooked, haha. Perhaps we can have a layup contest one of these days, haha.

I'll echo all of this.
Ex has been MVP of this thread - thanks for all the links/info. Slax too.
And seriously, it's not hard to not read a thread.
