In a crazy hypothetical world, You don’t think they’d trade all of Simmons, Fultz, Okafor, MCW for SGA?
I gotta disagree.
I gotta disagree.

Jaxson Hayes entire career has been maligned by poor decisions, but this one takes the cake

Pretty funny that the Pelicans traded us Holiday but are willing to give up everything we gave them to trade for another vet PG.

Are they? They're trying to sign Kyle Lowry with cap space which only cost them a trade down and one pick they didn't even receive from us unless I'm missing something here.
I think they should be pursuing Lillard and Beal if they're actually available but outside of that, it seems like they're able to potentially get the PG they want while still having almost all their assets.

I do too, but I like it less - now that they lost their Jonas brother.

Yep. If I was the Pels, I make a godfather offer for Dame. Anything Portland wants outside of Zion. Team up those two and just surround them with 3&D guys. Might need to eventually add a third piece to be a true title contender assuming the Blazers take Ingram in the deal but the ceiling with just those two is incredibly high.
A Dame/Zion PnR surrounded by good shooters is a cheat code.

Pelicans reddit says they're interested in Simmons and Brogdon, increased feeling they won't get Lowry.

Sadly I think Lowry to Philly or Miami makes too much sense. Both teams would be closer to contending with him in the fold vs. him on the Pelicans, and both would be willing to fork over assets in a sign & trade.

Simmons would be a super weird fit there. I just can't see it. Brogdon would arguably be an even better pickup than Lowry.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I do not want Philly to get Lowry. It’s nothing personal against sixer fans but I would like it if they never won a championship
I can’t really explain why. Add in the jazz too, can’t stand some of those guys and no need to explain the fans.

Brogdon would be better for the Pelicans, I think Lowry would be a huge mistake but it seems like the Pelicans are fighting an uphill battle to keep Zion.

Give me a GM who doesn't clutch his pearls and actually gets a deal done (Riley, Masai, Horst?, etc.). That's always been the problem with guys like Morey and Ainge. Always thinking you're the smartest guy in the room only matters if you can eventually put your ego aside and play ball, as opposed to constantly leaking laughable trade offers to the media in an attempt to drive a player's market price up or down. Now that basically everyone is using analytics, I really wonder if you could argue Morey's even a Top-15 GM.

I like to imagine that Morey and Ainge calls go straight to voicemail.

Thinking about how great of a spot NO would be for Simmons if Zion was a good-great 3pt shooter.

When has Morey been afraid to make moves? He's not a GM I'd lump in with a guy like Ainge when it comes to not making trades.
