Keep an eye on Harrell ending up here. He isn’t worth his contract since he can’t be played in the playoffs, but Rosas may feel that help winning regular season games is worth sticking his nose in for. That might not be true for WAS.

The Beal domino next?

We need Beal to ask out so we can get simmons easily.

Appears as if Morey is ready the room correctly.

He's been great but $50m at the PG position with a gaping hole at PF means they shouldn't be too enthralled either. :-)

Agreed. He could flame out but as constructed we need some core pieces that are not costly and even better if they have room to grow, dont need the ball to impact the game, and are two way players.

Surprised Wolves had to attach a 2nd to Rubio
Prince has been pretty disappointing player after decent 2nd season

they do save a little in salary and combo forward types are usually in higher demand than PGs if its from something down the line

I don't really like this trade tbh unless there's some follow up move. Prince is a decent player, maybe they view him as a Crowder-type 4, but Crowder outweighs him by 30 lbs at least. Still we gave up an asset in a 2nd round pick...

only thing I can think of is if its for something larger down the line where a combo forward would be more attractive to the team than a PG, some salary saving too

The trade as a stand-alone makes no sense.

None whatsoever.

Correction from Jon K, it looks like we're the ones getting the 2nd round pick back

Rubio was a poor fit here, the trade for him in the first place is questionable when you looked at how the team used him. Rosas and Finch seem like they are going to try to get cheap players that fit their system, if Prince shines the trade will be a homerun, if not, they will move him again in the future.

I don't think we will make any big splashes, we are probably hoping to hit big on players we that can come in here and have their strengths accentuated.
