Rockets Trade Two First Round Picks To Thunder To Select Alperen Sengun At No. 16

The Houston Rockets traded two first round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for No. 16 to select Alperen Sengun. 

The picks are a 2022 first rounder from the Detroit Pistons and a 2023 first rounder from the Washington Wizards.

I'm sure those are protected first rounders cause both have good chance to be high picks and for a guy at No. 16 would make no freaking sense.

I would be very intresting to see what the protection is on those picks. Maybe OKC already had all the room on it's roster consumed by current players and draft picks and wanted to avoid wasting a high asset, and traded it for two similar assets down the road that it can use either for a player, or to combine with other assets to move up.

Don't like this selection for the Rockets.

Don't see much upside left for Alperen's game. His atheleticism won't translate to achieving much else. And he doesn't speak English which is a very big hurdle to overcome.

But I liked our draft overall.
