Do we have anyone close to Matsui in mindset and professionalism and pride on this team?

Look at this quote: "The Yankees at that time were considered to be in their golden age — so many famous players wearing the pinstripes, the atmosphere of the stadium, and the tension you feel on the skin of your body. I was moved by everything, and my heart was constantly racing as I was watching the game from the stands."
There's no Golden Age anymore, and honestly, I see a Yankees ownership and FO who doesn't give a damn.

Yanks trade for any power hitters that strike out 200 times a year?

Rizzo injecting life into this poverty offense.
Already carried us into 2 wins.
Gallo's looking like Stanton from the left side of the plate. Yikes...

Yanks want to field entire lineup of power hitters that get hot for 2 weeks all season, figure out how to make it where each carriers team at different times = success.

I want a study done between production pre and post beards on all players. It might be all in the beard for some of these players.

It is Anthony Rizzo's team now.
He is new captain.
Cashman needs to think hard what he will do with Judge.
I would trade him this off season.

Why get rid of Judge ? No way I would get rid of him, he still has couple years of control I believe and produces. We got to find a way to get rid of Stanton huge contract and move on from guys like Hicks, Gardy, Sanchez etc..

Gardy is old and should go, finally
Hicks should never have been signed, so his removal is necessary.
Two out three of Judge, Stanton and Sanchez need to go. Unfortunately, Stanton's contract sucks so much, maybe it'll be judge instead.
I root for Sanchez through his struggles, but how many guys who are just like each other in terms of HR's, strikeouts, don't hit for average, does one team need? Although Judge is actually a decent hitter.

Cole and Stanton both have huge contracts. You can't have a third player making that type of money. Nobody wants Stanton's contract. He also has a no-trade clause so that is not happening.
Judge has one more year on his contract. The Yanks have a tough decision with him. He may have to be jettisoned to keep fiscal sanity. At least you would get a great return on his trade.
Sanchez is not going anywhere. His power numbers are off the charts compared to other catchers. We all have frustrations watch Gary play so I understand your feelings about him.
Gardy should retire. He can't hit a 95 MPH fastball and has lost a step. He was not supposed to play every day, but Hicks got hurt and you know the rest of that story. It would also be difficult to move Hicks...what are you going to get back in return, a case of baseballs and a set of bases?
It will be interesting to see what the Yanks do with Rizzo as he is a rental.

I am with you I rather keep Judge.
But we need to move one of Judge & Stanton.
You would have to send at least half the salary with Stanton and I doubt Cashman will do that.
Yankees went south ever since Stanton deal.
Cashman got suckered by Jeter big time.

I loved Matsui. You could argue that we had the 2 greatest pros in baseball for 7 years with he and Jeter. No NY sports team is ever going to have a more perfect superstar to represent them on and off the field than Jeter was. Didn't put a foot wrong in 20 years. Extraordinary.
