If they can acquire Sexton with Obi/picks, then combine him with RJ for POR it might pay a lot of the Dame freight. Could be a cheaper way of doing things - aggregate assets for POR, in a way they couldn't do themselves (they can't trade Dame to multiple teams).

i'm serious. i found myself losing interest during this season. i missed a bunch of games towards the end of the season. i'm not saying i won't be a fan but i'll watch like 1 game a week or something. a horrible team with good young kids is interesting to me. an actual good team is interesting to me. a mediocre middle of the pack 8th seed fodder team is the most boring nba product. it's pointless. it's a dog chasing it's tail. round and round and going nowhere.

Oh, I took "barely paying attention to the franchise" as a reduction in posting, too.

Move to the west coast. It makes taking the kind of break you describe a viable option. I was never able to do it before moving away from the epicenter of our madness - always got roped back in by people at the office, nightly news, sports radio, random ads, fellow fans on the street, etc.
