Another thing. I actually like the fact that Rose, Kemba, Fournier, Noel, Robinson, etc are not the most durable. Maybe even brittle. Cuz it ensures at some point the kids will get legitimate chances to make the rotation and also, at worst if the perfect storm hits, we'd still have a shot at ending up in the lottery despite not having any intentions to tank. Which could end up as a blessing in disguise.

Long story short, we are in solid shape either way.

Yes, backfire because our backcourt will be bad defensively and our PG rotation is ancient while one of them has been having knee problems the last 2 seasons. The Heat, Bulls and Suns have top 20 players to insulate them from their moves, we don't and if Rose has to start cause Kemba is out we're out of luck.

You can see a chance that the Knicks are a better defensive team than the other top teams, Randle doesn’t choke, the young guys are involved and contributing and we have enough veteran scoring to compete at the top of the East.

didn't randle just make the playoffs with payton as his starting pg? When has lavine made it? Is lavine your top 20 player? Derozan isn't a top 20 player and his teams have better net ratings when when he's off the court

I don’t think so. This is the type of the move that actually won’t backfire big time. Trading picks to pay Derozan big money is type of move that can backfire big time. This is a move, at its worst, is a slight improvement over what we had in Payton

Why do you all keep mentioning DeRozan? None of the regular posters here wanted to sign him.

Our backcourt will be bad defensively, just how bad is up in the air.
