On a more serious note, what are his options? I feel like a S&T for 2/20 sounds realistic. But I don’t see him as a starter next season. The only teams that need a starting PG are OKC and LAC.

Yeah, but they could have went over the tax to re-sign him before making all their signings or facilitated a S&T beforehand. Not that it's the Lakers fault but I'm sure he's a bit salty about it and especially given his character concerns, I can see him being a bit spiteful.

The thing that makes this that much more insane is that other players turning down big contracts had legitimate reason to do so - Boogie & Dipo were legitimate All-Star players who got a terrible injury break.

Dennis simply overvalued himself and underperformed even though he got the chance to prove himself.

No injuries. No All-Star resume. Just a showcase that he isn't the caliber of player he wanted to be paid as. Incredible stuff.

i mean, players like schroder are just not really that appetizing in today's NBA outside just guys that can come off the bench pop off for 20 every now and then, especially when they are like Schroder and have an overinflated opinion of themselves, that just makes them worse.

he can be really good if he buys into that bench role, but he won't, and it's now costing him money. should've taken the 84m as a 6th man type and ran with it.

One thing is betting on yourself and staying humble, another thing is coming into a team demanding to start and talking about your free agency status and money while you are on a championship caliber team.

Screw this guy, I’m glad free agency screwed him over now.
