Dipo back to Miami. Probably a smart move. A sign and trade next year might be his best opportunity for a last multi year contract.

I think Oubre ends up in Dallas. The iso heavy offense fits him better than our motion.

Well he was assisted on nearly 70% of his shots so I hope they aren't expecting him to iso. Or cut given his unwillingness to do that. Or pass. I really don't know what his best role on offense is TBH given he won't do the things his body was made for (quick cuts and dive to the cup for clean up).

Hopefully this is going to another team's problem very soon

Re: More Free Agent Talk
He’ll cut and be in the right spot on the perimeter more often in Dallas’ offense. I don’t expect he will iso. Just be more comfortable finishing plays because he’ll get out of his own way.
It was obvious he didn’t know where to go in the beginning of the season and it spiraled down from there.

Same issue for Schroder.
I would actually enjoy Schroder on the vet min on the Warriors

Personally, I think we should be talking up how great Oubre is instead of being so damn honest here.

To tell you the truth I would probably enjoy him on the TPMLE as well.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
From Curry.
Clearly Bob was after Batum and Mills and came up short. Curry is essentially being okay with AT LEAST the attempt.
"I would be disappointed if there was ever a vibe that you're complacent or that you're not proactive and looking to always get better," Curry said. "So if you're telling me we're trying to go after Batum, we're trying to go after Patty, and things didn't line up like that, then that's just how the league works. But if there's ever a situation where you don't feel that commitment from upstairs, then we have issues. I haven't felt that this summer."

Sure, but the vet min would be sweeter.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
Curry, Poole, GP2
Klay, Moody, Mulder
Wiggins, Porter, Lee
Green, JTA, Kuminga
Bjelica, Wiseman, Looney
But I expect Mulder and possibly GP2 to get cut and hopefully 1 more FA signing.

I know it is the summer league game but GP2 is kind of growing on me. He is kind of the mature guy playing with the kids.
Too bad there is the numbers game as well, especially if they do bring in Iggy.

I think GP2 gets cut before his guaranteed date - which is like next week.
Mulder may stay on the team until Klay gets back or may get cut out of training camp.
My feeling is that unless the Warriors can get a vet guard (I'm thinking like Avery Bradley) on vet minimum, they may try to roll with a 13 player roster to save some serious tax dollars. Then they'll try to get a capable guard on the other 2-way spot (next to Nico) and use that guy as needed with the big club - which does not effect the luxury tax.
Curry, Poole
Klay, Moody, Lee
Wiggins, Porter
Green, JTA, Kuminga
Looney, Belly, Wiseman
If still available, mid-way through the season they'll survey the buyout market and can offer the TPMLE to the best player available on the buyout market (if there's anyone worth it) but since more than half the season will be over, it won't hurt their tax bill as much as signing someone now.
Obviously things change if there's injuries or some guys are ineffective, but my guess is that would be their plan for the back end of the roster. As much as we like GP2 or Mulder, I have serious doubts either one is the difference in winning a game this season - and certainly not a playoff game... and we could be talking about $10M + in luxury tax here.

You have to have 14 NBA contracts on the roster (not 2-way). You can dip below that for up to two weeks, but then have to come back up to 14

Danny Green re-signs with the Sixers.
After Reggie Jackson and Dennis Schroder, looking like the Warriors just hold the mini-MLE for the buyout market.

A lot of you are way too convinced that using the MLE is a foregone conclusion
It's on the wrong side of 50% that we use it at all.. way, way on the wrong side if you ask me

Agreed. I don't see us using it. I think they try to sign Iguodala for the vet. minimum and call it a day. They're gonna go into the season with 14 players.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
I think it's still worth sending a flyer out to Jackson and Schroder for the mini-MLE. After that, everybody are vet min guys.
Hopefully Warriors can get an Oubre S&T for a TPE, so the Warriors have the TPE and the mini-MLE for mid-season acquisitions.
