I think Dallas and us would do it for sure, but nowhere near enough value for Portland, and trading Nurk for a worse couple centers would enrage Lillard.

Maybe this?

Minnesota - Boucher, Dwight Powell, Trey Burke
Dallas - Dragic
Toronto - Malik Beasley, Culver

Dallas gets 2 guys who make sense with Towns as bigs and Burke to replace Rubio as a bench guard, Raptors get Beasley to split time at SG this year and next or to deal at some point and try to revive Culver's career, Dallas gets Dragic and saves 11M next year

Our young core is gonna surprise next season. I think Masai/Bobby are both banking on that happening too based off their interviews. Bobby keeps saying "adding to the young core" and making "Opportunistic Trades when they present itself".

Bobby and Masai are banking on Dragic and Boucher to play well enough next season to become trade bait. And maybe 1 tweener guy as well to make some noise (Yuta, Ishmail, David Johnson).

I think when Bobby mentions the "Young Core"....he's talking OG/Scottie/Gary Trent/Malachi/Precious. To go along with the core of FVV/Siakam

We're so much more deeper and athletic than last year it's not even funny.

Agreed. I think Bobby/Masai saw the lack of talent on the roster when our starting 5 went down in COVID. Not a single person from the bench stood out. Not to mention how small we were.

Masai is banking on a lot of young players breaking out next season...which is going to make for some interesting trade scenrios.

Hard pass for POR.

Not trading Nurk for a pair of scrubs.

Why not ship Dragic to Indiana for Turner. A trade like
Dragic + Boucher + protected FRP
for
Turner + Holiday

LINEUP:

Trent/Holiday
OG/Yuta

I like Turner but I really don't want to give up a first.

While it's just been one SL game, seeing the way Scottie moves, I think he could play the 2 full time with experience and improvement in his shooting. Perhaps Trent's 2+1 is a hint of that plan.

laugh about what exactly?
>Turner 12.6ppg| 6.5rpg| 3.4bpg in 30 minutes
>Boucher 13.6ppg|6.7rpg |1.9bpg in 25 minutes
>Plus Boucher is a better fit on that Pacers team as a 4 playing the same stretch role as Myles..Sabonis is a 5 even though he is listed as a 4
> Myles fits better with us with his additional 50lbs and 2 inches over Boucher to play that 5
> both can get injured
> then you add Dragic to Pacers as well

Do we have the cap room to re-sign Turner next year? If not, there's no point in trading for him.

Turner has two years left on his deal. We wouldn’t need cap space because his Bird rights would transfer if he’s traded.

Isn't there a minimum amount of years for Bird rights to kick in?

I thought it looked good on paper too, even throwing in the protected FRP bc of the defensive ceiling and age of Turner. Dragic would be an amazing 6 man for them, I think it’s a very fair trade.

This wouldn't be a Richaun Holmes situation whereas the Kings needed space to keep their own FA due to Early Bird;
If the Raptors traded for Turner they would retain his full bird rights and be able to re-sign him at the end of his contract.

Oh, that makes sense. I'd be in on Turner then - he's the type of player that tends to be underrated in Today's NBA I think.

Yes - 3 seasons with some nuances.

Thought we couldn’t package Dragic in a trade now?
