Yes exactly. Each position has it's stars but I feel like green needs a good pg to truly shine while cade whas the tools to do it himself.

Yeah it's strange, I also came away more impressed with Cade than Green. I saw some things tonight that will give Green a lot of problems at the pro level. We know he can score but unfortunately that's all he's been doing. If he can develop the other parts to his game, he's going to be legit though.

He's gonna have to learn how to score out of a box-and-one and floor full of 6'8 dudes with long arms draped all over him.

trae was decent.

I can't remember Tim Duncan summer league lol

I never watched it either just read a good article about it the other day lol. Timmy was apparently awful in summer league but still went on to win ROY

Tim Duncan was top 5 in MVP voting in his rookie year, let alone winning rookie of the year lol.

Just watched Bol Bol....I know they are not rumored for Siakam but would it be Crazy for Nuggets To add Siakam? Idk how salaries would be for the Nuggets but a Package of Siakam/Boucher for BolBol/Porter Jr Would intrigue me....I just don't know if Nuggets would want Siakam but imo he would put Nuggets as Contenders and might put them over the hump in the West next year

I need Bol/Porter/Hyland...that'd be an intriguing package.

billy_hoyle wrote:I found all the dudes underwhelming. No defence played by any of them. Cade in particular looked overwhelmed with the lack of space. Green at least let the game come to him and hit some shots. I didn't see a blazing first step from green tho. Sengun will definitely score. Did people doubt that? It's the turnstyle on the other end that will be the problem. Barnes and Suggs looked better than these guys imo. I like to see game breaking D in SL. Davion is looking good too. Duarte and Murphy as well.

That said it's still early. Im just rolling my eyes reading people say the Rockets are set... Are people for real?

I probably want to wait for the next game before we judge Suggs, as teams against Golden States have been scoring higher. Other than Suggs got over 24 against Golden States, Davion got 23 against Golden States in Vegas, who got 10 (and 9 assists) against Charlotte. Meanwhile, I expect Barnes to score even more in the next game against Golden States.

To me, Duarte and Davion played better than Suggs with the ability of getting to the rim, of course if age is a factor, than they are even. Murphy is leading, but mainly shooting station 3s.

But Siakam can just do a little bit more than Gordan can ....Gordan is Solid but hes not a difference maker....I think Siakam behind Nikola/Murray gives them a dynamic lineup....Nikola and Siakam would give teams nightmares together

Edit- Nvm Siakam Is Worlds ahead of Gordan in terms of a Player plus i would try and do the deal without taking Gordan back if that is possible so they would have a Lineup of Murray/Barton/Gordan/Siakam/Joker thats a tuff team and fits their timeline of trying to get over the hump in the West where they just fallen short everytime

Lol remember how Trae looked in summer league?

Read on Twitter
stop trae was just missing shots. He was still able to beat defenders in summer league and draw fouls. Cade is having issues with skills that are paramount in becoming a shot creating star like creating separation, finishing through contact and drawing fouls. theyre struggling in vastly different ways

The amount disrespect Pascal is getting is getting out of hand.

Pascal is a great player and there’s a reason why a lot of teams want him.

Also he is still part of our future. He’s only 27. He’ll still be an effective player by 32/33. By then Barnes will be 25/26, Flynn and OG will be 28/29.

That’s a potential championship team in 5 years if we add other good vet pieces.

Yeah it's just the hype from just watching a summer league game. Sengun looks good but lets see how he performs in the regular season and the playoffs.

I'm more a playoffs performer type guy myself. I don't care what you did in the regular season. Can you be the guy when it counts. I want that Trae toughness.

If OG shows up this year, Siakam will get less attention. Less pressure, like before. That's good for all of us.

Scottie the only one of these top picks to show a legit playmaking game out there so far imo. Some of these guys have set up their teammates with dump offs after drives but not really feeding their teammates after they worked themselves into good position like Scottie does.

Man J Green looks legit. Just a wicked jumper with speed and solid handle. Once he learns a few moves and crafty nuances he’ll be that elite scorer.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Sengun was so obviously gonna translate. The Kanter comps were so lazy, aside from Doncic no prospect dominated his Domestic like Sengun did

He will be better than Sabonis within his rookie contract 100%

Return to Toronto Raptors
