He doesn't look fluid enough to be a guard.

He kind of reminds me of a Chris Webber

Webber was a legit 6'9.5" w/o shoes. He'd basically be a C in today's game. In his prime, he was very, very difficult to handle around the basket except for the best interior defenders.

Barnes is 6'7", though long armed (Weber was long armed as well). He's not going to be the interior scorer Webber was in his prime. He has elements of bigman and wing in his game. He's a talented guy, but never struck me as a guy who will be a big time scorer. He looks to me like a high level facilitator who does something of everything and can also score some.

No comparison is perfect in every aspect... for his height it's been reported at different sizes but I do acknowledge
Webber was slightly taller. I do think Barnes like Webber will be able to get you 20-25 ppg, get double digit rebounds
and be a good passer like Webber was. Also Webber could get you steals and blocks and fill the stat sheet. He also
had a decent outside shot but not great like Barnes.

We really drafted a full out project with the 4th pick. That’s tough lol. If we’re gonna throw this game, can they atleast let Barnes play PG

To be fair, Kuminga did have significant experience playing with actual men. He did play in the G League in comparison to college kids. Kinda why you see Kuminga and Green balling out and seeing Barnes, Mobley and Cade kinda struggling to be efficient.

I always liked him. Wasn’t a fan of getting stuck with Dragic but it seems we’re likely tanking so doesn’t matter much anyways

Nah man. I want Barnes to do well. I really do. I think he’ll be good for our team and he’s a vocal guy. But I don’t think he’s the type of player you take top 4 in a loaded draft

It’s one bad game. Like make that call after at least half a season. By your logic, Cade Cunningham shouldn’t have been the first overall pick and should rather be more like the 3rd pick. Give it time. The problem is also after one good game, Raptors fans were already setting themselves up for disappointment saying how he’s gonna be a superstar or ROTY.

for real, i liked the pick and expect Suggs has a better rookie season. 3 or 4 years from now on is when we will really see the value won/lost

You don't draft projects with top 4 picks. Not in stacked drafts.
