Think I'd buy more into the Net's narrative if there was precedent for THOSE three particular players being able to stay healthy, play nice in the sandbox and be a juggernaut team.

We really didn't see any of that now or in their pasts. Harden's been a defensive sieve with questions whether a team with him as the focal point ballhandler can win. Kyrie's been **** crazy at times, injured at others. Durant's amazing, but his ring comes from Steph, Klay and Draymond.

That Nets team was not 2017 Golden State. They just weren't.

Yeah this is my issue with the whole "we would have won" reasoning. Apparently when you put together a stacked superteam you're just entitled to a trip to the Finals right away, and if someone gets injured it's a cosmic fluke. No need to still win the games I guess.

It's not like people didn't question whether trading depth/defense for Harden would backfire if some of the big 3 got injured. Then it happened and oh look, you're relying on Bruce Brown and Mike James to beat the Bucks. Well, tough ****. Should have gotten better players.

It'll be the same thing if one of the Lakers big 3 doesn't make it through the season - them and their fans will still feel entitled.

The problem with the Nets argument is Harden got fat to get traded, then got hurt because he was fat, rehabbed it but never really got fit, and then had the same injury 40 seconds into round 2.

This is what happens when nba players get fat to get traded.

It's all good because he learned from this and has spent the offseason <checks notes> getting arrested in France

Their big 3 played like 8 games together. Sure, they probably would have won, but let's not act like it's a huge shock that they got injured after spending most of the year in that state.

I mistakenly went to the nets board and engaged with some people who think Giannis hurt Kyrie on purpose. Over on that board I guess you are allowed to tell people to kill themselves and to gtfo with zero repercussions. Some real trash over there.

All good. Anyone referring to themselves as "Mr. Dollar Bills" probably has insecurity issues anyway. Just like that Suns fan counting his money.

I actually don't see why that's probable. We're still bigger and more physical than them and likely would've realized that eventually.

Their efficiency was insane with Durant doing all the offense, and I'm not sure there was any further up to go. Irving would've worn down with Jrue beating on him, leading to more missed shots (that Durant wasn't taking), and defensively, they'd be worse with Harden and Irving on the floor.

I'm frankly shocked that Durant got through as much as he did with his Achilles.

If I was a Nets fan I would not be confident about him getting through the next season unscathed after the short break + Olympics. That's a pathological, repaired tendon. Not to mention the incidence of contralateral injury.

I'd have everything crossed.

This has been my thing the whole time. Like how in the **** could Harden or Kyrie match that efficiency ? Durant went god mode on us. Harden is a notorious playoff choker, and his playstyle doesn't mesh well with more physical series when his foul hunting doesn't get called as much.

So two questions:
1. Has anyone got any of their Championship merch from the NBA store? I'm still waiting on my order to ship. Was meant to ship late last month from memory.
2. Any word on a Bluray of our championship run?

Don't know about question 2 but I pre-ordered a bunch of shirts scheduled to be in stock on August 3rd, got an email that they shipped on August 4th and they were delivered before noon on August 5th. Of course I'm in the Milwaukee area and not Australia.

Ordered some stuff the day after the championship game. Shipped in 3 packages over a 2 week period.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
