Blocked a couple jumpers too. His wingspan was on full display

If Banton puts on some muscle and develops a reliable shot he could be something. Very nice fluidity and feel at that size.

Yeah, impressive NFL body. I don't know if he can be an NBA wing though.

He might have to become a PJ Tucker like 6'6 power forward to stay in the league. He's already a better shooter, but PJ knows how to foul all game long without getting called for it. An elite skill

This is the truth.

I'm probably getting senile, but am I crazy to think in some time he can play the 3?

If we had a legit big man (like an Embiid sized guy), I could see a lineup where it would work. Otherwise we literally don’t have 2 guys bigger than him to be the 4 and 5 while he’s the 3

He’s pretty damn mobile for his size tho

I hope not, spending 3-4 years in the lottery is. Bad look for a franchise that needs to, and has been changing its perception to the league over the last 8 years.

We don’t have the luxury to tank a few years and still be relevant

Why wouldn’t we tank for a couple of years? We aren’t even close to contending and we’re one of the youngest teams in the league

That’s just hard to accept, the NBA wants this era of raptors success to disappear and be forgotten ASAP, and I despise playing into that. We need to refuse to go away

Damn wel I don't know what to tell you but get yourself ready

Five blocks is pretty good for a perimeter guy. The thing that I have concern about was the last field goal that he had. Someone passed him an alley oop pass but he just stood there and caught it then laid it up. Was he just taking it easy or couldn't he not make an ally oop?

I think that’s too early to say still. Herro can score and we’re going to have trouble with that. Precious is very clearly talented though and probably fits better with our culture.

Wainwright has the kind of strength and length that could potentially make Hardens job a little tougher.
He doesn’t make many mistakes and his 3 looks decent.

Not bad tbh, he left the game for a bit there too, and was benched for most of the 1st

Barnes-OG-Precious-pascal-Birch lineup needs to be tried out at least once lol

His post wasnt so much a defense of Barnes but a comparison to Suggs and how there are struggles all around. Your post, however, was a clear defense of Suggs. And as someone who watched the Magic game, ya, Suggs was playing like garbage and the Magic were getting destroyed before he left the game himself (playing a whole 3 min less than Barnes).

Jalen Suggs played 11 minutes in the first half and didn’t return. Barnes was benched most of the first half and missed time towards the end of it. But he’s pretty much been out there the whole second half with 5 minutes left to play. The idea that you evaluate Suggs on a game where he didn’t even play the second half is just pure hating and is a convenient way to deflect from the less than stellar game Barnes is having. Yes all players have off games but it’s idiotic to act like Suggs only having 6 points didn’t have anything to do with him missing the second half.

For the last time I WAS WATCHING THE GAME. He was awful. Who said anything about 6 points?

And then he missed the second half! Barnes looked awful during the first half and played much better in the second half. You can’t judge a game off one one half. Posters on here trying so hard to hate on Jalen Suggs
