I can't see Kane staying at Spurs but who knows?

surely he'll be gone in the winter window if not this month.

If he stays, he's accepting no trophies again this year.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Don't get pulled into the trophies debate. It's as lame as the NBA "ringz" discourse, and is mostly spearheaded by 13 year old Chelsea and City fans on twitter who have never seen their teams do anything but win. You've been a Leicester fan for decades and have seen the team get relegated and get promoted again many times over, with countless near misses and heartbreaks. It made your eventual renaissance all the more glorious. Football is more than who brings home the silverware every season.

In Kane's tenure at Spurs, we've been in 3 cup finals and 2 title races. If he had shown up in one of those finals or big games, maybe he'd have a trophy to his name by now, but he didn't. This idea that Spurs are standing in Kane's way in achieving honours and greatness is nonsense.

If he wants to join Grealish in taking the easy way out, winning guaranteed meaningless oil trophies (that City would still easily win without them) to prop up their legacies and fatten their egos then so be it.

I agree with you but I believe that Kane thinks Spurs are stopping him getting a trophy. I think he would (and will) sell his soul in order to win a trophy to prop up his "legacy" and fatten his ego. If he stays I don't think that he makes any difference to Spurs winning a trophy either.

Just as I think PSG are pathetic and their trophies (which are all French titles) are meaningless.

When he goes I hope that Spurs win the FA Cup and the fans can smile and stick their finger up to the rest of league. I always smile to think of Maguire going to ManU only to see us win a trophy before he has. I also don't believe that any of the trophies that Mahrez has won with Man City will have the maening that his league title with Leicester had when his career has finished.

He's probably right to think Spurs are stopping him from getting a trophy when the alternative is being gifted a trophy lol. That City team could win a double with Kane sitting on the bench.

Arteta has no business still being the manager at Arsenal.

We moved the ball quickly and played unselfishly, trying to get everyone involved. We won 1-0 but on another day we could've scored three or four, but the post wasn't having any of it.

Onwards to City next weekend, I guess.

It didn't register with me until just now that Spurs hired Nuno. That's such a great hire.

What other moves have Spurs done this Summer? Any movement on Kane? Is he staying?

Spurs have made three signings. Bryan Gil, a young tricky winger from Sevilla, Pierluigi Gollini, a backup goalkeeper (with an eye to be Lloris' replacement) from Atalanta, and Cristian Romero, one of the most intriguing young CBs in the game and voted Serie A's best defender last season, also from Atalanta. I like the signings a lot so far, and our new director of football Fabio Paratici is very well connected in Italy and we seem to be set on raiding some of Serie A's best prospects, with confirmed interest in Lautaro Martinez and Takehiro Tomiyasu as well (I believe Leicester are also interested in the latter).

I think that Kane is leaving before the window closes, most likely when City meet our valuation (I'm guessing £120-150m with add-ons).

As for Nuno, I'm cautiously optimistic. I like him. Don't have much else to add to that. Son also signed a new contract, which is amazing news.

Brentford looked totally superior while Arsenal looked like the newly promoted side.

Arteta isn't it. And the spending of the Gunners board has been shambolic. That's 200M's invested now in a defense featuring Chambers, Mari, Ben White... Who was awful today btw. Was getting spun on the ground and has no arial presence at all.

Fun and games for me though until we lose to Viera's side to start our season.
