Not entirely related to the thread but has there been any word on who's taking over play-by-play duties for Zu come October?

None yet. But people on this board think Dei Lynam is the likely replacement.

Kobble, you have Jaden Springer over BJ Boston?
Because Boston maybe a better option for the “upside” play?

Jaden Springer having himself a game. Nice to see with most of the guards out.

Springers best game of summer league on offense. Hopefully he gets a lot of time in the g league this year and they let him work on the ball to keep developing. You can definitely see the potential as a secondary creator.

Springer had a solid game. Shoutout Aaron Henry too.

I saw a nice dime by Springer and some jumpers. Did he get to the rim off the dribble at all?

I have Springer over Boston in every fashion possible (intangibles, offense, defense). Not a fan of Boston.

Henry hitting threes today is very encouraging. If he can develop a semblance of a three point shot, that will make him a guy that could possibly stick in the league instead of him being a "cup of coffee" player.

That Baylor catch and shoot player, MaCio Teague, had 12 assists against us today. He was a good featured player at UNC Ashville before he became a role player at Baylor. He might sneakily have a good NBA career.

Rafael Stone is simply an excellent GM. Pretty much every move he's made has set them up for a huge run in 2-3 years.

he can still get A LOT better once he learns the cheat codes being mentored by Kyrie, Harden and KD.

All the scouting in the world and NOTHING ABOUT HIS STATS AT LSU seemed to matter….

I saw his averages and assumed he’s a guy that could step in as a backup to a player like Bradley Beal. Day one. All those points as a freshman?

Similarly, Sharife Cooper with prodigious assists…

Who needs scouts?

Bye bye Beal.

Foxes and hedgehogs.

Scouts are hedgehogs, so they can be victim of powerful biases. For instance, their FO maybe prioritizing some metrics that only they have access to. They also have their career on the line so they may lean towards BPA, Those teams who drafts bigs high on the draft are victims of this.

Average joe on realgm who loves the game, knows the trend, knows some stats also can change his mind more often than a scout. Discussions on forums where you have hundred guys who talks about the draft and if you have an open mind could also “bovine guess” your way closer to accuracy.

You live long enough and done stuffs in life, you’ll soon realize that everyone dont really know what they’re doing. Or they think they know but they dont really know.

A universe of unknown, only a dust of known. We’re really all just guessing.

If Im the heat, I’ll trade for Springer. Then market springer as the next Jimmy then trade Springer for some star.

Davion Mitchell won Summer League co-MVP? He had 9 points on miserable shooting in the championship game. 4 points in the previous game. Wat?

Yeah, terrible choice in Davion Mitchell. Teammates Jamius Ramsey and Louis King were clearly the Kings best players. King was their best player on both ends of the floor and was dominate in the closeout game. He was the true MVP of summer league.

Reed ain't getting on the court except for mop-up duty as this roster currently stands.

I think we should have traded up for JJ.

Slipping to 20 should have been the calling card for us to trade up.

Second best high school kid. Clear top five talent and ahead of Kuminga, Barnes and Mobley and Green on the ready to go play.

I mean it’s MPJ all over again. Sure a top 5 talent can slip .... to pick 10 but anything over that best bet is to gun for it. Picks, prospects etc etc.

Star hunting is still Star hunting. His ceiling is higher than John Collin’s and his replacement no doubt about it.

He is more or less smaller final form Ben. Look at that jumper, defense, passing, ballhandling, rebounding, scoring, and unbelievable pop and fluidity. A+ functional athlete. He’s the full monty to me.

With the Hawks I know Cooper can’t show his full extent of capabilities but don’t be surprised if they actually have a top 3-5 player and a top ten player in a couple years from now from this on a redraft. Both have All Star traits with untapped ceilings.

Star hunt always.

:banghead: It was 8 draft positions between a nice prospect and the full package ah well.

Hawks didn’t buy low..... they bought BTC @$100 lol.

JJ went 20 and Cooper went 48 how that happened when someone like Giddey goes 6 is humor to me, it’s 2021 cmon guys.

Strictly offense: Cooper looks like an out of prime CP3. That’s a wild offensive ceiling still. Did a 180 on him.

Man at pick 48 we could potentially have had our starting All Star PG for the stretch, oh well.
