We should've kept Damian Jones. Wonder if we can trade Gasol to the Kings for Jones.

They have depth. My statement stands. If LAL is relying on their 14th or 15th man as a regular in their rotation, they are in trouble.
If you think the Lakers don’t need anymore depth that’s something I guess we’ll have agree to disagree on.
At this stage, any depth they add will be 3rd or 4th string. Spot minutes at best.
If you get a guy like Giles or Oturu then yes, they’re only going to get spot minutes. The trade off with a guy like that is either Ariza or Carmelo will likely be playing too many minutes. If you get a guy like Millsap or Love (if he’s bought out), then they’ll be sharing the backup big F role with Anthony, and Ariza is the one who ends up with spot minutes.
Great depth is a good problem to have.

Milsap and/or Love are not interchangeable with Ariza, only Anthony. Adding Milsap means either he and/or Anthony get spot minutes.

Could you (or a mod) please update the thread title from "singed" to "signed"?

dante exum on the vet min anyone? imo, low risk, high reward (could end up being a cut price caruso)
pros:
young (26yo) , tall (6'6") PG, solid defender, can defend 1-3, offers additional ball handling in the event nunn, monk and THT aren't getting it done
cons:
injury prone, not a great shooter (that's ok, he'll be a third stringer)

I quite honestly don't trust him to stay healthy, he is an ex-Pelinka client though so its not outside the realm of possibilities. If we were to take a shot at a young reclamation project at PG for defensive purposes, I'd prefer Ntilikina but him and LeBron don't have a good history.

Mark Stein is reporting that Dudley is in advanced talks to become an assistant coach with the Mavericks.

He should have been offered that position from us... easy choice for us.... Pretty stupid, I think

So I guess we're waiting on Rondo and DeAndre Jordan to get bought out. Then wait for Kevin Love whenever that will be.

Hold on Dudley saying he wasn't offered a roster spot? But he took a coaching position?
So this is out of spite then

Love looks like he is going to get bought out. He would be a perfect backup center for us.

Kevin Love would be a really underrated pick up. Pick up Rondo when he gets bought out and go to war with the guys we have.

Per Shams: Rondo has agreed to a buyout.
Per Shams & Woj: Post buyout, LAL is the front runner to sign Rondo.

Here comes Rondo, hopefully.
I like it. He can still play and is a good player/coach on the floor.
I'd rather have him on the roster than Dudley.

If Rondo signs with us, look for AD to have a MVP year.
