Re: 2021 FA Thread
Would it still be tampering if we communicate with Dame through his trainer? Lol

It would be funny if Thybulle is included in a potential Dame deal. Talk about taking one for the team.

The real question should be.. is it illegal to use his trainer as a vehicle for under the table salary for dame.

Lance for the minimum? Seems like he would at least meet our quota for one insane player on the roster each season.

Re: 2021 FA Thread
Two lower hype moves I’d investigate- I’ve heard Barrett mentioned as a target with the trade exemption and the Hawks willingness to save redundant $$$. I would be more than OK to roll the dice there - heavily protected first rounder or multiple seconds for Barrett.
Second is Frank Ntilikina. Too young to throw in the trash and still has some defensive potential - if you can get him for a friendly deal I would love to see them work with him.

Wait, you mean Reddish, right?
He's got the size, defense, and eventually jumpshot. Just not sure about his mentality, guy is an airhead.

Yep- wrong Dukie…(smh).
I think we’re all just anxious to see what the next move will be.

Reddish would be a fun move. Like that's a swing for the fences, and he'd fit a need. If it doesn't work out, our bench is still improved. If it does you have a 6'8 isolation scoring monster that can guard anybody.

Wonder what the Hawks would want for Reddish?

Simmons, Embiid, Harris, Maxey, Curry, Green, Milton, Drummond, Niang, Korkmaz, Joe, Reed, Springer, Thybulle
That's 14 players under contract so I'm not sure what signing Millsap would mean for Bassey, who I think was held out of SL because him and his reps are looking for a guaranteed deal.
The fit is weird as well.

I dont think they’re trading him because he’s disappointing.
I think theyre trading him because reddish is looking for a $30+M contract.
The way I see the Hawks, i think they’re looking to be. Compete at this level till 2023. Then make a big splash in FA in the summer of 2023, and that’s not possible if Reddish asks for a big contract 2023 onwards. So they’re looking around the same talent but someone still in some 3-5M contract beyond 2024 for reddish.

Re: 2021 FA Thread
Reddish is definitely worth it for a trade of bit part players, downside is he’ll be looking for a big year to cash in. He’s an airhead of course but damn he is talented though.
If the score creating is for real it’s an auto max contract.

I’m guessing not. The Hawks were the team who allegedly offered Reddish/Gallo/20 for Simmons. I mean, I know you open low, but that’s like the opposite of Morey’s All-Star plus five 1sts requests.

I read that as the Sixers had previously spoken to Millsap, he didn’t want to sign for the money they had available, and so they moved on to Georges Niang.

Re: 2021 FA Thread
Reddish's value is still extremely high. He was very nearly moved on draft day straight across for the 7th pick, but the trade broke down due to financial reasons. Steph, who has trained with Cam was pushing the Warriors FO to get the deal across the line. Atlanta would have drafted Kuminga to replace him.
I'm not sure we have the assets to retrieve Cam. The Hawks offered us Reddish+Gallo for Simmons with no additional draft assets involved around draft day. Their vision was Ben in that Lamar Odom super sixth man role.
Morey asked for Reddish + Hunter + Okongwu + pick for Ben. Schlenk declined.
