Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Aug 26, 2021 1:47 am

Former number one overall pick Anthony Bennett will continue his basketball career in Israel with Hapoel Jersalem. Bennett last played in the NBA during the 2016-17 season with the Brooklyn Nets.

Drafted with the first pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Bennett played for four different NBA teams in four seasons. The UNLV product started with the Cleveland Cavaliers, then played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Toronto Raptors before joining the Nets. Bennett has also played parts of four different seasons in the NBA G-League, as well as a season in Turkey.

Bennett most recently played for Team Canada in qualifiers for the 2020 Olympics. The 6'8'' forward was sparingly used in three games, as Canada failed to qualifying for the Tokyo games, played in the summer of 2021.

That 2013 draft is historically bad

Show me you’re a casual fan of basketball without even telling me hahahah

Dude, there’s 21 Canadians currently on NBA rosters, excluding this years draft, not to mention the countless others that have been drafted and left to play overseas.

Bennett being used sparingly has nothing to do with the lack of talent from Team Canada, but his own lack of talent

it really doesnt matter if those canadians arent on Team Canada.

here is the roster..

Guards
Nickeil Alexander Walker
RJ Barrett
Trae Bell-Haynes (Germany)
Lu Dort
Corey Joseph
Mychal Mulder

Forwards
Anthony Bennett
Aaron Doornekamp (Spain)
Andrew Nicholson (China)
Dwight Powell
Andrew Wiggins
Trae Lyles

The players battling for minutes with bennett would be Lyles, powell, Nicholson..

I m sorry, sure it's a lack of talent on his part, but it's not like this is a crazy talented front court we're talking about..

tristan thompson, kelly olynyk, Khem Birch, Chris Boucher arent even there. Just because they're canadian doesnt mean they are on team canada...
